Jordy: I think you're right. I had the same problem with my Canon G2; the mounting hole is offset. Gotta make up an adapter some day.BTW, if you don't like that stitching program, there's
always Panorama Tools at http://www.fh-furtwangen.de/~dersch/

Heya L8R, I got a kick out of "Chrome Pinocchio"! I always like it when someone points out something interesting in a common object. Interesting thing agout your image above; is that an inside corner or an outside one? Or, put another way, are we looking up or down at the subject? It's hard to tell. Did you do any postprocessing on this image in Photoshop?

Oops! I typed "fuild" in my previous message. Obviously I had meant to type "ilquid". Sorry for the ocnfusion!

IMO, any material substance has a texture. Water simply has a fuild texture. IMO, once again though, the presence of the model, land, and sky, distract from the fluid texture of the water. I'd class this image more as a portrait than a texture study. It's a very good portrait though. The model seems very unselfconsious for such a long exposure. P.S. I also commend her for holding still for so long. Especially when you consider that that area seems to have a lot of crabs in it!!!

Very nice photo. Reminds me of The Bog of Eternal Stench from that movie with David Bowie, The Never Ending Story. (P.S. Does it make incessent farting and belching sounds?)

RE: Buying the candy from a jar at a candy store. So, I wonder how much extra they would've charged if you'd told the sales person that you only wanted ones with positive sounding slogans on them? :-)

I'm certainly interested in seeing these horns from other angles in order to get a better understanding of what their function is and how they work, so the image grabs my interest. I do something though, that I'll bet a lot of people do; when I see an image with a mirror in it I study the reflection just to see what else is in the room. In this image I can see a dark blue swatch of cloth (velvet?) and a few other items, so my suggestion would be to somehow obscure those things if they don't fit into the scene. The blue cloth seems to end abruptly at least. The spots on the mirror on the far left did at first look like defects in a print or something. The others, closer to the horns, on the right, were more recognizable as the effects of age. I wouldn't know how to fix the left side spots (tape aluminized mylar to the back of the effected area and reshoot?). I hope that's helpful to you.

I like the color version the best, especially because of the deep blue of the water in the foreground, changing into bronze from the reflected sunlight moving toward the background. The color also seems to give the image more definition somehow. Yeah, that shade of blue in the foreground is very attractive to me.

I like the first one best because of the lighting. Makes the image seem softer. I also like it better because the scene seems "fuller". I agree with bsteph that more of the candies should have their slogans showing. And yeah, those really are some nasty candies. Hard as diamonds. Chalky. And the slogans are dumb. But it's a good symbol of Valentine's Day. It's amazing what we do in the name of tradition!

Closer! Closer! A macro shot of the side of the grater with the smallest holes would be neat. From the right angle it might look like fish scales.. A stainless steel trout? A steelhead?

Finding extraordinary aspects of ordinary objects. The things we see every day but never notice. This is what I like so much about Punk Clown's rust shots.
Oh, that reminds me! Coffee's down!
