One thing you could do would be add a gel map to one of your lights to
give the lighting a ripple effect.  Check some of the previous threads
on lighting to get some ideas how to do this.

As to how they do those great images, practice, practice, practise.
Some of these people have been doing this stuff for years.
As of yet Poser doesn't have a "Make Art" button, you still have
to work at it.

Maybe I'm asking the wrong question, but don't billboards in real life have an outline?
What are you trying to use this billboard for?  Or does the term "billboard" refer
to something else other than one of those things you see by the side of the road?

True. But the question was how to do faster renders, not how to do renders
equivalent of the quality of Maya, Lightwave, Carrara.  If you want that kind
of quality, it will take longer.  If you want faster renders, use the P4 engine,
if you want better renders, use Firefly. If you want more expensive renders,
use Maya.  Faster, better, cheaper, take your pick.

Can you post a picture?  Hard to say without actually seeing what the problem is.

You could parent them all to something like a box from your primitives prop library.
Then when you want to move the whole scene just move the box
And then make the box invisible before you do a render.

Now tell me an easy way to find a texture that Poser can't locate.
Or at least an easy way to tell it to stop searching for it.

Import the 3DS figure into Poser.  Then save the figure as a Poser pz3 file.
Then import the pz3 file into Vue Infinite.  Vue Infinite handles Poser files
best as pz3 files because it keeps all the textures and poses.

P6 is a lot more stable for me.  Especially the cloth room and hair room.
Renders seem a lot more reliable too.

That's one of the things that is so great about Poser 6, the cloth room is so much more improved.
Not sure what I can do to help you on Poser 5, the cloth room worked so lousy I gave up
using it.  It took a while to go back using it when I got Poser 6, and I was shocked at how
easy, fast, and reliable the cloth room is in Poser 6.  Now I much prefer it to using
conforming clothes.

I doubt it. Poser is a rather commonly used word. When you ask what a poser is, most people think it is someone trying to act cool who isn't really cool. Probably just when the site has something to do with 3D graphics is there going to be a problem.

With Shade thrown in, it is for me. I had been thinking about getting Shade anyway. So in effect I am getting Poser 6 for almost free.
