Thread: Tolkien-esque inspired image | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Awesome - if for no other reason than I am a die-hard Hobbit and Lord of the Rings fan. Hope the movie in the works does it justice this time. Presumeably the ring depicted is not the Master ring which was the plain and relatively less adorned of the lot. So technically this ring should be a little more fancy looking than you have it - or so I would imagine, seeing it was meant to temp mortal man. -Rob
Thread: For all you Lovely Poserette's on V day | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Not at all Burbank. Actually I appreciate all the helpful advice I get. Right now, I am a kid with a new toy and really don't know alot about what I am doing - or even trying to do - half the time. Thanks again.

Darn, I knew I'd do it! Forgot to give credit to Eric Westray for his lovely blonde hair. I think all the other are stock Poser items. My Bad
Thread: Warning! Crazed Enthusiast - Seeking Professional Help! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks Darth, This is exactly the kind of feeback I am looking for. I thought crips was good, but I see your point and understand it. Composition wise, your take on it sounds right. The lion is suppose to look wise and friendly. A keeper of mysteries who knows what fate holds in store. As for her, ..."This is awkward, didn't expect to see YOU here..." is exactly what I was going for. So if that came across I did okay, but maybe not great. However, I know now by your comments that I didn't quite get it all to gel just right. So back to work - hi ho!
Thread: W.I.P. Rise-N-Shine (new Image) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks again everyone. I posted my updated version of the image with the suggested changes to the CG gallery. Hopefully, it is an improvement and not just a change. If you think the new image too radical a departure from the original, let me know and I will return to square one and try again. Feel free to make comments and suggestions - even negative ones if you are so inclined. I do not take offense. Criticize all you want. Helpful criticism especially is always welcomed as it furthers the learning process. Regards, Rob

Thread: Looks Like Scully (It does?) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It looks like Scully and it doesn't. Still its great! Beats every attempt I made thus far at making a recognizable character. Now make me a Heidi the Tool Girl from Home Improvement and I'll be happy.
Thread: W.I.P. Rise-N-Shine (new Image) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ikyoto, Thanks for your comments. I will experiment with the bed scaling to see what I can do there. The image was done in Poser 4. The lighting was a matter of trial and error. I am new to this sort or thing and probably not much help in explaining how I got it that way. I just fiddle around with the setting until I got it to look more or less the way I wanted it. Cheers

Thank you Diane and Paul for your kind comments and especially for your observations. It's funny how obvious it is now that you point it - the back needing to be arched that is! This is the kind of help I needed. I felt like something about the pose was not quite right but could not figure it out. Thanks again. Also, thank you Jeff for your favorable comment and for setting me straight on the source for the hair. I most certainly want to give credit where due. Unfortunately I was not as thorough as I should have been with earlier downloads in keeping notes on the source of the material. I am trying to do better this year.

Thread: Ok, here's a mystery for modelers. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You might try experimental adjusting of the scaling dials for the hand and problem join(s). I had something similar to this occur when I first started out using Poser 3. I was able to go through and manual adjust the scaling on the hand and fingers to correct the problem than save the corrected model back to the library. No problems after that.

We all walk in the sun but seldom do we lift our eyes to gaze directly at it. Now moon and stars we will behold. But the sun sustains us yet our eyes can not bear its brillance. Perhaps, at least for me, it is similar here. Often I hesitate to email or acknowledge for fear of being a bother and an annoyance. To me Bushi, and artist like him, are much like the sun and it is more comfortable for me to view their light reflected in the moon and shadow that encompose their work than look directly at the source.
Thread: Posable Blanket Anyone? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Not sure what your going for here. I needed a blanket for a rendering I was working on and was able to make a halfway decent looking one using Mason's Ik cape and magnets. You might give that a try.
