I think hartybart means from which figure template you used against Gen 8. Things can go awry if you dont use the correct clone.

Please relax there a bit. Everybody who've read the fora knew not all scripts would work. They are working on it.
Remember you have an early version. They are still ironing out the kinks and whatnot.
Thread: I cannot access the hand figures in the library of Poser 11 | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
I think he wants a hand model, it is not so hard, you can have a static hand model and turn it around so it you can render it in the same positions as the pictures.

heey hallo een mede-Nederlander. Voor alleen rendering en dforce zal de pc zeer goed werken:). Ik denk wel als je zelf dingen wil creeeren(haren, skins. kleding etc) Dat je te weinig HD ruimte hebt.
Thread: Custom morph has X-translation baked in... | Forum: DAZ|Studio
I have that happen all the time. I save a morph on zbrush so I can reset it in zbrush by making out the part and then invert. Use the morph slider and goz back to studio.
Thread: changing uv's | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
We use to have such a program. But v4 has very different uv mapping and also Gen 8 has less polygons. It is harder to remap vic4 due to so many polygons. And also you can get weird stretching but for background figures or mid figures it works great.
Also the better you morph the figure into the other, the better the outcome.
I will make a small tutor later today.

I haven't encountered this my self, but it does look like the hands ignore the fabric. Is the model the standard g8 model or a morphed character?
If the answer is morphed are the bones still in the right places?

It is not so hard but takes a lot of work. You want to convert gen8 skins to v4.
Both mods have different starting poses. I would set g8 in a t- pose. Export to zbrush and also v4 to zbrush. Make sure the poses line up as best ad you can.
Now you have to append g8 to the v4 model. Set it on transparant. Morph gen 8 as close as you can to v4. The better the morph the better the texture will look.
If you are done. Load the textures on Gen8 via polypaint. Now click on uvs from polygroups and do the same for v4. Subdivide v4 as much as you can. Then hit project all. Delete the lower resolutions. And make every bodypart invisible. Set the uv resolution and export the texture. Do this with every other bodypart, head, arms etc.
Nb, make sure you delete the inside mouth areas and lashes and eyes.
Remember it is not perfect and you will probably have to clean up some things. But this is the easiest way.
The higher your subd the higher the textures.

Thread: What is the purpose of RenderPasses ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes, but it is not like a complete picture yet. You complete the composition by pasting the different canvasses onto a new layer a d play with the settings ( curves, layer blends, color adjustments). This way you have more controle over every detail. And you can adjust everything seperately.

Probably. If you want to use the skins of g8, and you own zbrush or blender. Then it is easy and you can copy the skin to v4 with minimal work and some editing.

It's something like postwork but not per say. Also the beauty of it is, you don't have to re-render everything to change the mood or a small detail.

Usually it means that each part of the render is rendered individually. For instance dof, diffuse etc you'll later compose these in a photo editing software, ie photo shop. You can blend the different canvasses using layer blends to set the mood of the picture or bring out a lot more detail. This is often called a beauty render.
Thread: Help with Nvidia Iray and GPU usage | Forum: DAZ|Studio
you have 11 gb on your gpu, I have 8.Do not forget that daz can use a lot of the available space on your gpu. You dont really have 11 GB free, more like 9 or 10. Make sure you have the latest drivers and the lastest studio version. There is also a bug in daz studio that it sometimes doesnt render with gpu, you have to restart studio in order to use the gpu again.
Also i would first make a small render and see if studio uses the GPU( say 400x400). You can see on the renderpane if daz uses the gpu or CPU( you can see CPU in the renderpane, if studio switched over to cpu]
I have had this happen and had to downsize the render size. sometimes i can render larger but than i have less content in the scene.
