And about Bebop...  I've always been wanting to do some 3D Poser type stuff based on it but have never really got started on it...  Hmmm...  been wanting a new project...   BUT...  right now I'm hooked on Ergo Proxy...  gorgeous design from characters, colour & architectural types...   picked up the first 3 dvd's this week and can't wait for the next 3 in the next couple of months!!  I think it would be cool to do some Poser Ergo Proxy stuff too...  another Hmm...  need more time in life!!!

tebop...  I wasn't trying to drive you away with my question...   I was curious as this post, your "not so good artists" post and a few other always seemed to turn into flame fests.  I suppose I'm just wondering if you're trying to be inflamatory on purpose or if you weren't aware of the way your posts can be perceived by some (myself only as I cannot speak for anyone but myself).

I apologise if you feel slighted by my question.

Oh and to add...  me and my 8 year old daughter went to Shrek the 3rd today and both enjoyed it for our own reasons!

*** Cuz it's a kids movie maybe!!!  The big companies (Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks...) are all mainly catering to child audiences...  the fact that grown ups enjoy them (non CGI types like us) is mainly due to the "grown up" popular culture references and music etc that usually goes over the heads of the younger viewers (remember Will Smiths character in Shark Tale yelling "You had me at hello" to Renee Zelweiger's character?).  Folks like us enjoy them for usually the 3D first (myself, maybe others here) and the aforesaid reasons.  Something like Shrek is most likely aimed at the youth consumers so they can get Mom & Dad to buy them the Shrek 3rd video game and Shrek 3rd Operation game and Shrek 3rd Cadilac Escalade etc...  Then considering something like Ergo Proxy (current fave anime) and Samurai Champloo & Cowboy Bebop (see my avatar baby?  YEAH!!) are aimed at older youth to adult audiences.  

The Shreks & Toy Storys and Finding Nemos are always gonna be cheezy and kiddy cuz that's what 99.9% of kids like!  And that's gonna make a lotta dough for the movie studios!

And on a side not...  Why oh why tebop do you start a potentially controversial flame bait-y thread every week!!!  I'm not trying to be a jerk but I've been noticing a trend in your posts in the last while...  that's just me!

Weird...  did you keep your preview window the same size as when you had your non widescreen monitor?  And are you certain you have a widescreen resolution in your OS display properties??  If not it could make things appear distorted like this...  something like 1280X720 or something like that rather than the 1024X768 or 1600X1200...

My two cents are spent!

With your Miki loaded. go into the material room, check eye material settings, remember or write down these settings, load James, go into the material room, duplicate settings (excluding trans maps etc) that you wrote down or remembered.  Theorettically you should achieve similar results and I've gotten into the habit of setting up characters eyes in such a way to acheive better realism all derived from another character's initial setup. 

Not sure if the search function works on the forum after the big switchover sometime back but in the last 7 years coming here I've seen multiple topics with all the same questions you've posted here in the last few months...  might save yourself some time searching for an existing thread that will answer your question rather than posting and having to wait for an answer. 

Use Facebook!!!  It's way cooler than MySpace!!!  Less people looking for "hook ups"!!!!

Awesome work going on there Mr Hoadley!!!  Now if you could just remap the Dork to look like "THE Duke" that would be mighty nice Pilgrim!!!  LOLZ!!!  Really though, I'm totally impressed with your efforts with PosetteV3 and now the Dork!!!  UV mapping is tedious and I've never had the patience for it, so I gotta give ya credit in that department!!!

Happened to me all the time!!  After adding another figure I would have to select the "BODY" (under figure) of the newly added figure before conforming it to figure 1 or whatever the main figure may be...  kinda dumb sounding "fix" but has always worked and I just plain got into the habit of it since!

And this topic...  yet another one I feel powerless to even comment on with MY opinion as MY opinion (like that of all the opinions of the average member like myself) doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things in the typical money making machine's (cough Bondware!) fiscal forcasts & PowerPoint presentations about alienating it's membership / user base / customer base...  I know with this username I don't have a lot of purchases in my shopping cart but on my wifes there's a whole whack that after all the changes in the last year or so I feel it would have been money well spent elsewhere...  too much heavy handedness (as mentioned above) and too much cow towing to be overly enjoyable!

Hmmmm...  for what I wanted to be short & sweet and not wanting to get involved I think I sure did some rambling there!!
