Thread: Detailed hand textures | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi I saw an answer to a question like this before, in which someone suggested taking a digital close up photo of yours or someone else's hands and mapping that onto the hands template. I havn't tried it but it might be something to think about. just an idea. Dave

Hi I like it but I just wish people would stop putting up these great images ;-) What with buying Vicki3 this month and having to go find some hair that works (thinking pony tail) and then the mermaid fish and the reef..... Oh well if I'm going to go bankrupt my card well it's better if I do it for something I enjoy!!! I'm begining to hate Daz for all their products Dave
Thread: Layered Rendering | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi I was playing around with ideas to create my mouseski pic before christmas and well this might be an idea. first create your background in poser, in the experiment I used some trees. render them as has been said against a neutral background. 2nd take the image into psp or pshop and crate a mask (transmap) 3rd use a combination of the image and the mask on a bacground prop (square, infinite cove, cyclorama etc ) this was an experiment which I'm sure has been done before but it may help Dave

Hi Well what would I like to see? I found out I'm not very good at making human figures look realistic. Perhaps Vicki3 will be different, but for me they never quite work. But the things I do like are the animals both real and imagined. I'll go along with the 'mil' variety like the gorilla and the dragon. Much as I like that cute mouse and no disrespect to the model maker I have found that I wished he had more flexibility. How about a good Pegasus or mil-horse with removeable wings/cloven hooves and horn to make a real unicorn (not the horse with added horn like in 'Legend) Hippogryffs and Gryphons come to mind. Alternatively a mil Bear or Wolf/Dog (I go for dogs not cats) and yes a better cat Dave

Thread: problem with backdrop and background render | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi I had the same problem with a background I created in bryce. I may be wrong, and no doubt someone will correct me, but I think that even if you increase the resolution of an image you will not necessarily get an increase in quality, in short you cannot go beyond the quality of the original image. I think that there are image enhancing programs/plugins avalable which use some sort of fractal 'magic' but where off the top of my head I couln't tell you. hope this helps If not I'd sure like to here the 'real' answer Dave
Thread: Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong? | Forum: Bryce
Hi I've tried the trick with the y scale doesn't work I'll have another play tonight. The reason I export from Bryce to poser is that, well I have more exprience with poser and have found that exporting to bryce has problems with textures/bump/trans maps etc. I have downloaded grouper and the other prog who's name excapes me but I havn't had the courage to try them yet. Have I got to use them each time I import i.e. if I go and re-tweak a pose or will the tex settings still be in bryce? If that question makes sense? I really want to use the mil-dragon/s but (quakes in boots at the prospect :-) ) thanks guys Dave
