Quote - Ahhh, but I take it no backward compat in PS3?.
The earlier ones, yes. Most of them, no.
It might be on sale in the PSstore for 10 bucks though. I know they were trying to add a lot of popular older titles there.

So when exactly did comics turn to crap? Early 80s with the dark age? Before that?

Thread: Why Still Victoria Products | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Why I still use (and will only buy) V4 stuff.
Lots of prior investment. Money and options (like character morphs) talk.
Virtually nothing outside of the base gene. I'd be starting from square one.
Lots of nice v4 stuff is still being made. Some gene stuff I miss out on, but such is life. I can live with it. I suppose if I really wanted some gene item I could take it into hex, reshape it, break it up into parts, bring it into poser, and use on v4.
The previous 3 means no inertia to use or buy gene stuff.
I only use female characters so far, don't even have M4, therefore gene's best feature is wasted on me.
I don't use DS and haven't played with DSon yet.
Limited funds and tons of hobbies means I have to spend wisely, V4 products atm are the wiser inventment for me.

I think king mad it more violent to keep it in line with the other films. Plus there isn't that much action in the first half of the proper book. Certainly not enough for a 3 hour movie.

It's weird, I liked the LOTR films and I knew this one would be a little different but I still loved it.
About the pacing and character development, the Hobbit was meant to be a children's book, therefore it needed a different pacing and kids care less about character development. Quite frankly there are too many characters to develop them all. I was a little surprised when I saw they added in some characters from LOTR, but it made sense to do so.

I got to see it in 3d hfr... looks great, especially the movement. It's a shame they didn't have that stuff for LOTR.
I'm still not sold on 3d (though it was good in this movie), but I love HFR.

Thread: Rant on lack of skirt morphs | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Lee, I've seen a few dresses or skirts that have them. If you are lucky there might be bones to control the skirt... those seem to be a little more common. I don't think we see more because you'd actually have to create a morph yourself. Make a mirror of it if it's a L/R morph, etc.

Thread: Poser Figure is Black Until I Render | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - > Quote - Some figure materials are setup to use the ALT_DIFFUSE channel and set the diffuse channel to a 0 value.
Why do they do this? Is there a benefit to using ALT_DIFFUSE? Seems like this happens after EZSkin is applied as well...
Diffuse and specular give you just those things. So if I plug another node into a diffuse, it'll be diffusified. The Alt channels are place holders.
If all you want is plain diffuse, then difuse is fine. If you want to add SSS or something like that, it isn't.

prim, that looks like you used a texture. I also can't tell if yours has a displacement map or not. I'm not saying it isn't there, it just looks flat to me on the surface.
I'll try to tweak the color of mine and use better lighting/bg when I get home tonight from work.
