Yes I recently found out that even though TS understands object files its best to use a conversion utility to convert from obj to cob. I had one all along but never bothered simply because TS understands obj. I didn't realize that doing a conversion was the only way the the testures to fit right.

And while my example isn't really the greatest thing since sliced bread either. I just wanted to show how much better hapteks 3D characters are. They even have full bodies fully articulated characters. Tis true it is a bit longer(very small bit) of a download but at least there is no lag time in the middle of a dialogue. at index htm select frames or no frames. Naturallly no frames is the quickest. I have a Mainpage and a links page thatutilizez hapteks characters. I am not the best a programing java so my character does lack some character but man you can make the character sound happy, exited, sad, mad, smart, stupid. AnnaNova what apiece of shit that deal is. They call themselves the first virtual newscaster yet they are not. She is animated real video, Haptek(Haptek.com) makes photorealistc 3D characters that talk to you and intreract with you real time and its all JAVA and man the realism blows Anna out of the water. You do have to download a plugin but(enable all language options) But it is the best there is. There are plugins that will facilitate your need for the back/bottom/left/right views for TrueSpace. Can't remember the name. Despite TS's limitations Its put together samrter thanMAX or even RayDream. TS has volumetric lights. Whats a volumetric material? I know those are in MAX but I don't use MAX hardly. Is that those materials like reflection and such. If its all those materials that make reference to different uses of light I hate those. There are just too damn many parameters one has to tackle for realism.

No that I think about it. I think the same thing has happened to me. But only when I had alot of characters/objects in the scene. My guess is that since a boat load of memory(RAM) was needed that somehow my PZ3 file would get corrupt. It really sucked after spending 2 hours creating the scene. I have to say that with the latest update(4.0.2.118 I think it is), this hasn't happened.

Thanks for the suggestion. But that seems to make no sense to me. for if I do that then My character or world will be affected unless of course I can do what you are suggesting and then resave my charcter but just replace the new rsr with the old.

What did you save the whip as? A Prop(.pp2), A Charcter(.cr2)? If you tried to resave the P4 dude with the whip in his hand or something the latest P4 update is what you need. This discussion is news to me. i never had this problem. Are you sure your not trying to apply a Poser 4 texture to a Poser 3 figure or visa versa? Thats what it sounds like.
