An even better solution might be to make use of Poser's "3D Motion Blur" feature to actually blur the prop models in the render....just a thought.

Guilty as charged. In my defence, I did confess to not being perfect though.

Quote - The linguist in me is quite interested to know what you're considering to be poor grammar.
...the poor sentence structure, and the incorrect use of parentheses and hyphens; as if that was not enough, I am inflamed, that I, as a British TV licence holder am paying for this 6th-form level garbage. The great "z" & "s" debate was not one I'd even considered in this context - I'm British and appreciate that the differences between "American" and "British" English are historical, with valid antecedents on both sides. The bald fact remains however, that I HATE Bad Writing.
I guess, though, in the great scheme of things, it's not really that important. Maybe what I really need is sleep.....

I write/illustrate for a magazine; the full-page illustrations are 3000 pixels high, including my first front cover (Advanced Photoshop (Dutch)). I've never had to worry about DPI, just used the standard setting, which is probably heresy, but my Art Editor seems happy.

Quote - I checked and with Poser 5 through 7 he's in the main runtime under "Additional Figures". With Poser 8 he's unsurprisingly in the same place as Poser Pro 2010, if you replace "Pro 2010" with "8".
That's great, thanks for the info!

Quote - What I don't understand is if these are the entries: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=123244&id=106113697478
If so, then Tempesta 3D has entered like 10 images or something to that effect and so have several others. If not, then why is titled the same as the contest? I got an email that mine was accepted but it's not on there so maybe they were flooded by the multiple entries?
This has got to be one of the most confusing contests I've ever seen and I don't even want to think about the judging :)
I think the "Faces of Poser" page which that link takes you to is a long-standing Facebook gallery of Poser images - for instance the one they use as the promo/box art for Poser Pro 2010 is in there - and they've titled it "Faces of Poser"; there is a note at the bottom which says it was last updated 10 months ago. The fact that they've also titled the theme of this week's competition as "Faces of Poser" might be the source of the confusion. I don't think they've posted the entries for the second week yet, like they did with the first week's. I'm probably wrong though, I usually am....!

The size is 800 pixels on the shortest side. I submitted an image 1024x768. That's within guidelines. It says so here:
*> *Quote - Artwork Submission Specification(s):
Images must be JPEG/JPG format (or compressed into a .zip archive), 800 pixels on the shortest side, maximum 80MB file size. Animation formats accepted are SWF MOV MP3 MP4 WMV, minimum 320 pixels on shortest side, maximum 80MB file size (or they can be compressed into a .zip archive).*
I suggest that anyone submitting reads thePoser blog regarding image size

Postwork is allowed. Image sizes: 800 pixels is the minimum. As far as max size, you can upload a file up to 80 MB in a zip file. And it’s one image per person per theme. Happy posing!

A bit more info here, such as which is the right text field to use on the submission form (I used the wrong one), and the fact that you can only submit one entry per theme (I submitted two), that postwork is allowed, and that the maximum size isn't in fact 800 pixels on the short edge....Wish I'd seen this page earlier!
