Hi Lars! Great pic! Lol - I think there must be something psychologically imbalancing about photography that makes us all go through the 'graveyard' phase! I know I had mine a couple of weeks ago but haven't had the chance to throw some images together properly yet!

Ok, maybe disjointed wasn't the right word, but we're Dictionarically Encumbered up here! I like it, don't get me wrong, but even though the guy is a focal point I feel my eyes flicking across from one thing to another....especially to that strong white shirt and the ...erm...tubes around your head? Hmm...ever thought of being a politician?! I believe they go for things like that! (Oh, no, it was a carrier bag & an orange, wasn't it? silly me!)

Lol - if the dog had of spoke I would have taken IT'S picture! Hmmm... dilemma. Would I have asked the DOG it's permission or it's owner then????? I know, it happens - it used to happen lots at air shows etc when I had the video camera going - but I had to get it out of my system!! NNNGH!

Thanks people. I think that shooting first then speaking to them was the direction I was heading. I guess it's my own hang-up of having them think I'm a prat which I have to get over! I just don't want to cause offence to someone by saying "I thought you were interesting" and them interpreting it as "ugly / wrinkly / what the hell do you mean interesting?" I've got to admit, if someone did it to me (not exactly attractive at the best of times) and told me I was interesting, I really would think they were taking the mick and spend the rest of the day feeling quietly offended. Sorry, Bsteph, this may be just the way I'm reading it, but when you say "Say ok then remember to trash it later" I hope you mean you send them the photo then remove it from your archives? I personally would HAVE to send it to them if they've been kind enough to allow me their permission, and it helps maintain their image of photographers as basically honest artisans.....(?!) Once again, Thanx all for your help!

Nice. The blending of the images in the 'London' montage was brilliant! I take it you're a professional too, rather than part of the amateur contingent here?!

I'll leave the tips to the people who know! Nice, subtle changes. (I tried masking tape suck over the flash - took a pic, then another layer ditto etc, until I realised my damn camera must have been compensating exposure on the light available. Clever, if it does, but it's something I'm gonna have to learn. Out taking some pics today in the woods, and the exposure crept up long enough to allow shake/blur to occur. Gonna have to start using the tripod more!)

erm, how do you type a wolf-whistle? Strangely enough, this is quite how I'd pictured you in my mind's eye! I've done this trick myself several times coz I'm too lazy to do the tripod/timer thing, but I'm not even going down the road of putting a picture on until I've had a haircut & shave. (Considering my total HATE of shaving, this narrows it down considerably. Aw, shame, huh?!?)

What do you mean 'smaller than the rest of us?' (Breaks into song;) "I'm just a poor boy from a poor family" - I've still got a 14" monitor!!! Now, if you're working on smaller than that, you are DEPRIVED!!! LOL

Now I can make you all feel REALLY sorry for me - I still have to download ALL of mine via serial wire due to card reader being low priority next to food, clothes, petrol (They kill us over here with that!) etc..... I'm working on about 1min per picture!! It's a case of set it up, go have a meal, come back and read a while......boo hoo! Things WILL change soon, though! Hurrah! (erm, did you say $25? That's what, 18? B|_|gger me, cheapest I've found here is 35!!! Tch.....)

Very nice picture sigh I only got my 'new' one last November coz I got sick of borrowing my Dad's little Kodak thingy, and now I've outgrown it. I want a new one! I WANT A NEW ONE!

Oh, you poor man! No-ones commented on it yet! At least I can stop worrying about MY sanity! LOL. Seriously though, the disjointedness (is that the word I want to use?) makes it appealling. appalling? no, appealling.(sp?!?). (Disjointedness meant in good sense not negative, before you send your minions of hell to haunt my dreams) ;p

Ah, ignore them - I remember using a Sinclair QL (You may well ask what that is!) and building up a shillouette (sp?) picture of Alice Cooper pixel by pixel - Photo Editor is rocket science compared to that! (still, it was a darn good picture....)
