Hauksdottir! that's the one. Great guess off my dicription. All the Japanese do have great hair. I can't Finish my Book Illustration with out one of his hair sets that he uses. Now to get me a 160 HD and DVD Recorder next week so I can back up my Runtime. I only have 10% left on my 80 gig HD. It won't even let me take off Info on my CD back up unless there is just a few Items on the CD. Now I won't have to Load every model anytime I get a corrupt runtime down the line or the next time I buy a new computer. One other question, What's the difference between a DVD Burner and a DVD Recorder. Is it the same or is it just the way certain companys like to present them as. My guess if there is a difference would be, One is better for copying DVD's and the Recorder would be Making your own DVD's. Thanks everyone!

Thread: I'm not bald, but I'm looking for some hair | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I had to get off from the Forum for a while. Any way the discription of the hair is Amrican styles. one was lots of big curles, almost like they were in Curlers that started near the neckline and didn't come above the top of the head much. It was more wide. the top was combed tight to the scalp. It was one of my favorite hair stlyes.
There is another one that was like DAZ Pony Tail except the poney tail went to the side instead of being in the back, and a little more on the wild side, but very simular.
I looked at the samples they weren't the ones, without any kind of discription by me, you were shooting in the dark. Somehow I keep thinking it was from Digital Babes. I checked every Japanese site I could find. I know It was a Japanese site because they had a few Figures which were P4 figures had a japanese look to them.

Thread: Having problems with background working with model-Please Help! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
First thing, in Photoshop your 8x10 should be higher setting than 72 dpi. That is where your grain is coming from.
I don't know what your final size of your Poser render is, but try 300 dpi. that should make it much shaper. If it still needs to be a sharper background still, increase the dpi to 600, that will mostly depend on your final Poser output render is going to be.
Thread: Can you see this image? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I can see the Image fine, What size did you render it, and how many fps. Very Nice Dynamic effects. Was that in Poser 5 or Poser 6. The only flaw I see is her feet sceem to slide across the floor while spinning, and her upper body sceems just a little stiff. Getting a person to spin correctly is difficult if you use poses and have IK on. I had a simular spinning motion using poses, One pose I used from my pose files was looking one way and the other pose was looking the oposite from the pose files.
I tried every way I could, but when she was put into motion her feet mangled up and was a pain to correct (Note I spun the body and matched her foots location with a little foot prop I use so her feet don't move from it's location). I tried memory dots when I had the girl set up in position I wanted to no avail. I also spun the girl around to the correct position with out IK. but every thing I did didn't work. Even with the memory dots she came up in the wrong direction when I used the pose dot without IK on.
I can see your concentration is getting the hair and dress effect to push it to really move. Did that really bog you computer down? I here dynamic hair and clothing do that.
I'm waiting for Poser 6. I'm not completely happy with poser 5. I don't like their Charatures. But Poser 6 Charactures look really good, a good change of pace to Vicky3 and Mike3 which I like very much.
A real good job over all.

My suggestion is do the way most animators do in a pinch, Put yourself in a drunk frame of mind. stagger around, when you think you have a good sequence. analize it and make a pose of the extreams from each staggermovement. The computer should feel in the rest. Then all you might need is a little tweeking in between frames. I don't have Maya, but most of the 3D programs will fill in the sequence between frames. the big thing is speed of one step to another. This usualy runs between 15 to 25 frames (at 30 frames per second rate) between each pose with the fill ins in between. Most animators use this techenque. Once you get use to doing it you will start getting the feel of how many frames between frames to space each pose.

Thread: The G.I.R.L. ...possibly the stupidest thing I ever bought :-) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I kind of chuckle when someone buys a product with out analyzing what is there before there eyes. The Girl is as plain as day what she is. I don't have her but am very seriously thinking of buying her. She is not and will not be in the Vicky and Mike class of Charitures. That makes her a specialty in the cartoon class along with other charitures that are in the cartoon class. The biggest weakness is there are no other charitures made for her (like a guy), Now if you don't like the way she looks that is a different matter and of personal taste. I don't like cartoon figures either as a rule, but there is a time and a place where they work better than a Realistic figure. This is when you want to exaggerate a point, which is what cartooning is all about.

There are a lot of ways of doing this as long as you are making a render and not an animation. (you can also do this with an animation but it's a more time consumint) Here's one way of doing this is, Have as many figures as you can render and put their expressions you want. Render them with the background either one within poser background props, or just a background that you may have allready. Save that render as a background. Keep in mind that these figures are deeper into the background, so they will be a little smaller than the forgound figures on your next render you will do. Also it would be good to stagger these charatures a little further back and forth so they don't look like they are in a straight line across. Depending on how many people you are wanting to use. If you are wanting a whole lot of charitures, then use say 3 or 4 of the Lowest Poly figures way in the background with another 2 or 3 P4 fighures in front of them with better expressions than the lo poly figures. Next import that first rendered background as your guide and final render, and for placement when you get your big guns out Mike and Vicky 1,2 or 3, if you want to use Vicky 3 or Mike 3 just use the fewest morphs that you can allow on those charitures, mostly expressions and a single body shape when needed. This will help you get the largest number of charitures that your computer system can handle to make that last render. Render the whole batch and you will have quite a few people with a background with your main charitures in the forground. I had made an animation with 18 charitures with a computer that was not as fast as I have now, using Mike and Vicky 1 or 2, along with 13 low Polly charitures that were animated along with my forgound animated Charituers all in the same scene with a background Picture I made in Vue 3, that worked out great. One last thing, you don't have to just have to have these charatures comming at you, you can have them sideways or at an angle. Just use the same format described with the angle you are wanting to use. Hope that helps.
Thread: Geep - started the barn | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I don't know where that Barn was built, but it looks like it was either a Cantilever Barn or a spin off of one. The Cantilever barns built in the 1800's with cribs on each side, but very more sturdy looking than what yours shows. they were whole logs notched one the ends so they could fit together with no nails. These barns are mostly in the Appalachian area, there are a lot of them in east Tennessee, but like all Barns that have any age, they are going fast. I have pictures of a lot of barns since I've been in east Tennessee, I know of at least 15 barns within the last 14 years that were torn down. If this is the type of barn your grandparents had I have pictures that I have drawn which are exteriors, and I have some pictures of a Cantilever that is just the frame work if I can find it if you need some pics to help you.
Thread: Adding Ram to your rendering | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well I'm going to add the ram, but I also am going to get a DVD+RW along with 120 Gig HD. I have used up most of my 80 gig HD, so I'll just use one HD as slave and it is effecting my couputers performance. Thanks for all the info.
