It was a way to import D|S export formated OBJs into Bryce. Its not needed in 5.5.

Things I post, when I post, are my opinions. I don't live near, or work in the office, so I offer no glimpses of official company policy. Frankly because I wouldn't know about them anyway. Everything you read is mine alone. I suggested you could possibly get around the PZ3 import issues you were having by building the scene in D|S. I don't think that constitutes me saying anything about dropping Poser. Personally I haven't had any problems importing PZ3s.

This is a render in a similar vein as renderman, that runs entirely in hardware on off the shelf videocards. The renderer does displacement, raytracing, and GI solution. Granted its extremely expensive, but I'm pretty sure you will eventually see such a renderer more commonly among applications. So his ideas aren't far-fetched, but this stuff is still in the early stages of common adoption, probably a couple years out.Thread: Poser's Future----and----Renderosity Needs A GMAX Forum | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

The Unreal3 game engine from this company will be used in a large number of games on the pc and console, as the one before it was.Its currently running quite well on the latest highend cards, but the engine itself won't likely be out until the next generation. Those are relatively low polygon models using advanced shading techniques to appear highres.
Also, practically any shader that can be done in software can now also be done in hardware, because videocard cpus are almos entirely shader programable now.

1.) Click the item you want to adjust in the hierarchy pane (upper right). You see a root figure title, and a list of descendant parts. Clicking on the root figure title will show Full Body morphs after completing the following steps. Selecting an individual part (such as the Head) will show only the morphs for that part.*
2.) After selecting your object, on the lower right side you should see the parameter pane. At the top of the pane, beside the backforward buttons, is a drop down button. Initially it will say Ungrouped**, but clicking it will bring up a list which will have Morphs in it.
3.) If you need to turn off or edit the limits, simply double click the name of the slider in question.
** the category "Ungrouped" contains scaling, translation, fit to (conform), and selection visibility options

And in fairness. Firefly either is or is based around Tempust, the renderer in Pixels3d. It features a form of IBL, and Ambient Occlusion. You can't really go by what features are exposed in the UI to determine the maximum capablity of the renderer.

Its cooking. And yeah Reyes renderers aren't terribly speedy at anything requiring cast rays. And although it may seem off kilter, it does actually make more sense to develop fully what you want to be rendered, and then investigate more carefully options for doing so.

" 3Delight is an advanced RenderMan-compliant renderer featuring a wide variety of features such as depth of field, motion blur, surface displacement, atmospheric effects, selective ray tracing and global illumination (ambient occlusion and color bleeding)."
It even supports image-based lighting and subsurface scattering.

pdxjims: not sure what you mean "non-zero conformer" if you mean he's memorized in a default pose? That doesn't make any difference with clothing conforming.
