That is awesome - I have Akido. I seem to remeber that some content creators specifically forbid 3D prints from their stuff though? Might be wrong, and I hope I am!

It impressed me at first, and still does, but personally I prefer the painted and comic styles, preferably a blend of the two.

Ah well, hopefully I've explained to anyone who might have wondered what happened to the images in question from my gallery. Grateful if this thread could be locked now.

Quote - Are you sure it just wasn't the Vendor's character that was copyrighted? There has been issues with game developers using characters from vendors who didn't have the proper licencse but the game developers think because they bought it they can use it.
No, I've seen the vendor's attempt at defending his actions in a forum on his own website; lame and factually incorrect. A real shame as he's obviously really talented and could produce something similar of is own, based on what I've seen of his work.
I'm gutted as the comic-book style is exactly what I've been looking for for Poser for years....!

Seems to me the vendor copied the line art, hairstyles, clothes and everything, even down to a symbol on the character's belt, not just the likeness as in making a 3D model to resemble someone famous (although I think even that might be open to question under copyright law). If it was my artwork being copied I'd be pretty ticked off. A real shame; if he'd tweaked them a bit, maybe added different textures and props I'd be ok, but I'm uncomfortable using what appear to be exact copies of someone else's artwork. The concept though is great - Poser cartoon figures look brilliant, no more trying for photorealism for me!

Thread: Help achieving a "cheap" distance fog effect | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
For me, I usually go down the ZDepth render/postwork route as the amount of fog or haze is then easily adjusted, plus the ZDepth render is essential for masking and other 3D effects like depth of field.

Thread: No can do motion blur | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As usual with Poser, the implementation is unique, and relies on the fact that Poser can produce animations as well as still images. If that puts you off, don't let it though, as motion blur is a surprisingly easy and effective effect to get the hang of. At the bottom of your main screen, you will see the two windows of the frame counter used in Poser animations, which by default reads frame 1 of 30. For the best effect, enter the figure 2 in the right-hand window; click "OK" on the warning that pops up about deleting frames. Ensuring that everything in frame 1 is set up how you want it, move the yellow triangular slider to the right - you should see the frame counter change from "00001 of 00002" to "00002 of 00002". Now take the element which is going to be blurred, and move it to a new position; the greater the amount you move it, the more it will be blurred in the render. In render settings, make sure you've checked "3D Motion Blur", and render your image at a high quality setting.

Thread: Is hobby 3D a dyng art? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's not dead for me; it's still my major leisure activity after walking the dogs. I still slap myself though when I let my guard down and render vacuous half-naked people standing around doing nothing much, though. Can't seem to do a 3D render nowadays without needing to take it to Photoshop to improve it with 2D; I guess I'm more relaxed about postwork than I used to be.
