I uninstalled the 6.03 but when I installed the 6.1 autorun it installs fine but in the about box it says it is now 6.0? Something is wrong here. (This was from the reset option on DAZ site)
Anyone else have issues?

Wow, that IS an impressive update. This program is certainly fun to work with. Can't wait for Mark's tuts to go live on VTC so I can figure out all the tricks.

Good point Mark.
I'll tone'em down. Didn't want to take you away from the CP6 Pro Tuts :)

Nice work on setting it up Mark. Great way to see what's new at a glance.
Now I know where to look to find out when your CP6 Tuts are up ;)

Don't be sorry...and thanks BrokenAngel9 for bringing this thread to the forefront. Wouldn't have known this piece of free software was available.

I wouldn't want to look under the hood either ...plus juggling two operating systems on top of all that. No thanks I'll just drive ;)
It's great that the Daz team is giving us quite a few patches in a short turn around plus I noticed the PDF manual is updated as well.

One of the best programs similar to PS or Gimp and I think more powerful is the free Paint.net program which has loads of effects plugins and has a large community. The program is updated almost monthly

Thanks Mark so that's what its for. Very handy. By the way finished your tutorials on VTC and it was well worth it. I didn't realise how much was possible with Carrara.

it's funny that a folder is set up without an explanation on its use. I tried dragging too. Maybe someone will chime in with the ...Oh, I get it answer soon.

Thanks for the tips. I was waiting for the new C6 manual. Didn't realise the shadowcatcher feature was from the C5 version. I just went thru Marks Tuts and my brain is on overload with all the goodies available. I guess I"ll roll up my sleaves and dive into the PDF

Well I'm 2 thirds the way through Marks tutorials and they are well worth the cost. I'm doing the pay as you go online streaming without a hitch. There is so much to Carrara that I've still can't believe all that's included.
An aside for those looking at screencasting software the longtime opensource free one has finally been upgraded.
