My Photoshop 7 installed without trouble for me in Win7 64 Ultimate. No compatibility modes. Straight install. I've never tried CS. PS7 (with Imageready) does everything I need.

At last, a woman who understands our deep spiritual need to witness various acts of Sapphic debauchery - oops, I mean feminine bonding rituals.
Hang on... I'm feeling the inspiration to do something...
It's either create something in Poser or no... no... it's download some porn. :tongue1:

Thread: Problems installing V4 Base on Win7 system | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had this happen too during a system reinstall. From the error message I figured the installer was looking for Daz Studio. So I installed the latest free version. My problem file installed with no further trouble. I've never opened Daz Studio. It just sits in my proogram files folder and tells Daz's installer it's there.

A rendering countdown timer. It needn't be wildly accurate.
'Make a coffee'
'Do the housework'
'Grow a beard'

Thread: Animation Work Available - Urgent | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That's between 18000 and 27000 frames of animation. Taking the top figure, at an estimated 5 minutes per frame render time, (which is a very low estimate), that would be 93.75 days of rendering alone. Over three months. And that's without taking scene creation into account.
For an encore... licking my own elbows. (Try it.)

Going out.
I remember that. Big place. Can't see the ceiling. Lots of natural light. Funny smelling air.
Tried it once and didn't like it much. I wonder if it's still outside this box. I'd need to put down Poser and clean my windows to find out.
Meh. I've got a progress bar to watch.

Thread: Is Windows7 preventing me from installing Poser7 content? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This is something I found happening too when I moved to Win7. It's the UAC being overcautious. You'll find that your content is installed and working quite happily. To get rid of the irritating messages go into Control Panel/User Accounts. Click on Change User Account Control settings and move the slider down one notch. It's set at maximum by default which is what throws up all of those messages. You'll notice that the second bar down is a darker line than the others. That should be the default but isn't so you have to set it manually. Change to that and reboot and you'll never see that message again.

Thread: P3DNo | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ok. Found Dizzi's free converter and tried that. Nothing seemed to happen so I rechecked inside the folders I was working on. P3DO was telling me it was finding files and converting none because the folders contained both rsrs and pngs. The thumbs are showing up just fine in Poser.
I am now going to kick my own backside for half an hour before I go to bed.
Thanks for the advice but I guess there's no help for stupidity. :blushing:

Quote - Library:
I'd love to see actual content management via the native Library, preferably from a right-click menu on the item itself:
- Rename and Delete Folders.
- Drag folders in and out of other folders.
- Drag items in and out of folders (along with their pngs)
- Would be cool to eventually have the ability to user-order items. Alphabetical by default but if you wanted Victoria 4 at the top of your "DAZ People", you could just drag her to the top and it would be at position 0.
- Maybe requiring a "shift" to drag so that you don't accidentally drag stuff around.
- Rename Items.
- Not related, but would be nice to see the references of any selected library file (what external file references it has and where they are located).
The library is definately the best we've seen so far and the improvements in Pro 2010 and Poser 8 SR-3 are great but personally I'm ready to have my socks blown off. :)
This.

Thread: Power consumption | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Whether it should be more or not depends on how much you are asking it to do. Every piece of hardware attached to your motherboard draws power as does the motherboard itself. Have you added things to the original system like extra RAM? A new graphics card? It all mounts up.
Do the calculation at that link. If the result is more than your 280W you need to replace your PSU urgently. An inadequate PSU will cause random reboots or shutdowns without warning, program slowdowns and blue screen of death PC crashes. It could even cause corruption of your hard-drive.

280 watts is indeed very light. You might want to take a look at this page and run a calculation on what power your hardware actually draws. If it comes to more than 280 you're heading for trouble.

Thread: Poserholic... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My name is Dave and I am a Poserholic.
It has been two days since my last download and I know I can't resist for much longer. No matter how big my runtimes I aways crave more. I've tried to resist. Each time I see something new I ask myself, "Do I really need this?"
Sadly the answer always seems to be "Yes, and I need it NOW, because I know it'll come in handy at some indeterminate point in the future."
Can someone please post the link for Poserholics Anonymous?
