Jeez, until the fairy shot, I thought Guppo was getting in touch with his feminine side, and that surprised me greatly. But I guess a clown can't change his spots??? and actually he was just plotting to get in touch with females, period. Wonderful sequence, dreamsosweet.

Har! Ever been to Newport News? In the parks there, there are signs that say "DOGS AND SAILORS KEEP OFF THE GRASS" Nice pick. You pretty much nailed the exposure. I'd love to see the same shot with her looking into the frame, or even into the camera...

Hey, there could have been a cloud, directly between the building and the sun such that there was more reflected penumbral light than direct light... I mean, I see your point, but it isn't you know terribly glaring, so to speak. Anyway nice job on getting it put together. Selecting around the trees and rough edged things like that can be hairy.

I agree about the DOF, gives these an extra 3D pop. However, on the DOF in low-light thing, it seems like you are kind of cornered by your equipment. You might try a faster film, and then you could stop down more, pick up some DOF...or maybe stop down and then push the film in processing, if your lab will do it. I don't shoot film and so I'm not sure how much you can push the different films.

My dad once put the hitch part of the boat trailer through the fibreglas garage door, which was up. He had walked all the way to the back of the boat, and there was no weight on the hitch... My mother heard the crash, and the ensuing cursing, ran out to see what was up. Then she ran all the way to the other end of the house, so he couldn't hear her laughing. Stuff happens, best to laugh about it. Durn good thing you weren't seriously injured.

Rohyphnol--The fork pic said "deleted by Rohyphnol" --I undeleted it. Whole series is absolutely hilarious--but what is the next person to do? The bar just keeps going up...who is the next person, anyway? Sue

Firestorm It is the reflections of the rear element of the shooting lens (and other stuff on the table I was working on, including vitamin capsules) in the rear element of a second lens. Sue

Lets you mount a lens backwards--the front element winds up against the camera body. With a wideangle lens, say a 28mm, that gives you something like 7X lifesize. More fun than I thought, and I thought it would be very fun.

Well, I think the background is actually working well in some ways; specifically it is light where the owl is in shadow, so it helps the owl to pop out. Also you did a good job of getting the background out of focus. So that problem is really minor (nitpicky, y'know?) Sue
