The only difference I've noticed is I don't have to make the keyframes yellow to prevent joints from spinning around when I add keyframes. I don't know if that makes sense to you the way I worded it. As for rendering animations, richard is correct. The main benefit of this is that it is now possible to also render depth maps for the animation etc, and apply postfx, which I don't think you could before.
Okay, so I understand. Poser 13 doesn't benefit me in the slightest. Since it only improved on rendering. And as I stated in my post I use Octane rendering engine plug-in. And Superfly cannot compete with octane. I was hoping for animating improvements. Especially with the animation panel being more intuitive. But I guess animating isn't their focus right now.

Hi, can everyone please help me out/ or understand? I have been using poser for a long time since version 2014. I've been learning animation basically using just poser for the most part. I consider myself a professional animator now. And I was excited for the version 13. But I see no real advancements whatsoever when it comes to animating. Actually only improvements I see is with the rendering engine. I have version 12. So as of right now I see no real reason to update to version 13. Not even for better renders. Because I use octane rendering engine. I'm asking if somebody can point any major advancements out that I'm missing that would benefit me in a slightest. I started creating photo realistic renders lately using poser 12 with the octane plugin. I didn't want to do this but if I see no advancements with poser then I'm going to have to jump ship and start learning Cinema 4D. It's going to be a big learning curve.
Thanks

Yes I discovered some. By just pressing keys. But I'm looking for at a keyframe shortcuts or at keyframe types specifically. Or delete keyframeSome options are available for custom shortcuts in edit/pref/interface/shortcuts (CTRL + K), but not all of them as you said.
I have found that if you hold SHIFT while using the keyboard arrow keys (left/right), you can jump to existing keyframes.

Thread: CGI replaces live actor | Forum: Animation
Because it is hard to do. Which means it is expensive. There's a lot of setup work that is involved. So unless the story somehow benefits from it or really needs it. To cut down on cost and production they will find a way to do without itI would like to see video of realistic CGI 3D animated model human character. Why is this so rare in movies?

Which text editor did you use? I used word pad and office word and after saving the file it wouldn't open in poser or even windows. There is another thing you can try, it worked for me: while comparing the original and the one converted via Houdini I notice that in the bone names, I noticed that double dots ":" was replaced by underline "_". So I opened the original in text editor, search/replaced "mixamorig:" to "mixamorig_", save as copy, now it imported in P12 as expected too!

Thread: Viseme files for Original figures | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have two solutions for you. The talk designer can work with any 3D model. It is driven by the morphs. And the key thing is the morph's name.
Solution 1: Change the existing internal head morph's name to whatever figure Viseme you would like to use. Like James's. If you choose James G1. Make sure you make these changes. If you see a morph on the Void Prime that looks like he's saying the (mouthA). Then just change that morph to (mouthA) similar to James's morph. Or you can put both figures in the room and just copy the text name of James's morph over to the Void Prime.
Solution 2: If you do not want to change any of the Void Prime morphs you can create additional morphs. Using the (morphA) again. Change the dial that looks like Void Prime is saying the letter A. Export that head as a morph and name it (mouthA). And do the same with all the corresponding morphs you need to match James's Viseme. And then import the morphs to the Head as its own separate category.
Hope this helps

I haven't used the FBX import in a while so I had to make sure it hadn't got broken. It imported the animation as expected. Where did the FBX come from?
Heres the file.

Thread: What happened to the Combining Figures and find Unseen Polygons Features | Forum: Poser 12
Okay Thanks. The combine figures rarely worked. If you were getting usable results you were getting lucky. Once we have proper unimesh, single skin figures implemented Things like the combine figure function will reappear and this time they'll actually work most of the time.
The weird way Poser figures have always been cut up is why that cause problems, It would attempt to re-group the figure and the clothing. Usually the auto-created groups just wouldn't work.
