Thread: DAZ 3 to Cinema 4D | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Ok, tried Riptide. It imports the OBJ with textures, but for some reason it only brings in the diffuse channel.
What I did find worked well was to play with the advanced options in DAZÂ Studio 3 Advanced OBJÂ export, using the Cinema 4D preset, and actually generate the maps into a separate folder.
From there, with Riptide, I can easily find all the textures needed for the scene in that one folder.
So while it increases the file space used on my drive, it's much quicker to apply the textures from one folder then searching all over my drives.
Not ideal, but an improvement.

Hmmm, was thinking of picking up Poser 8 anyway, and I have used WW before, but with limited success. Granted, that was a while ago.
Time to go evaluate more things now

Figures it's one of the expensive ones!
I really like the texture job they did. That's what caught my eye. Guess I'll have to suck it up and buy this outfit at some point.
Thanks for the replies.
Thread: Cloth Simulation issue | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just wanted to followup on this, as I got it working using some of the tips above.
The key one was not using draping frames, but instead using actual frames to drape the cloth. I followed everything else and was still having issues with this particular simulation.
So, if all else fails, use frames 1-20 to drape your cloth, not the actual draping function.
Thanks for the help.

IÂ have done everything except checking armpits, which is where there is a lot of issue, and checking to see if it's a double sided mesh. I have no experience with modelling really, so editing the mesh in an external program is beyond my means.
IÂ will keep trying solutions, but thank you for the great tips.

Yes, texturing everything one colour is a good recommendation. I am still at a loss as to how to make these featureless figures though.

I do have one question, but might seem silly if it's already been answered.
Since VUE 7 xStream is a plugin for the given applications, does that mean it will not run standalone anymore? I was thinking of upgrading from VUE 6 Infinite to VUE 7 xStream so I could get the best of both worlds. The plugin for C4D and a standalone VUE.
Thread: Tearing in final render | Forum: Vue
It actually happened to me every single time as well if I rendered in the main view. Never had it happen on render to screen.
I think it was a video driver issue. You have an ATI card? I switched to www.omegadrivers.net

Anyone know how to get in touch with them? I love Star Wars (duh) and missed these wonderful models.
Thread: Poser Yoda | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
THAT is the worst site I have ever seen! The hoops you have to jump through and the models are NOT that good.
Free stuff here is much better!
Man did I ever rant in the Help section there. Might be worth a laugh if you're bored.
Got myself a Yoda, and a Darth, and a Jar Jar, just because.
Still interested in the other Yoda, unless it's the same one.
