Thread: how to make a smartphone or tablet shine | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Many thanks for the feedback, appreciated.
The possible results look great so I am keen to learn the technique.
I do not know which is the diffuse or spectacular texture so I have only connected image map No.1
Please see screenshot attached, still no luck as there is no light emitted.
I am in manual render mode with indirect lighting enabled.
Can anyone see what I am doing wrong.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for your response, unfortunately I tried both methods and the smartphone stayed black.
I attach a snapshot of the material for the smart phone, the texture manager is for 1 of the image maps.
Could you please review and advise, as mentioned I am looking for the smartphone to emit light and be able to read the screen if possible.
Thanks
Thread: Looking to standardise export image settings | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi
Many thanks for all your helpful advice, appreciated.
ToxicWolf, just a bit more information if I may ask.
I agree with you to enlarge an image can get ugly hence my requirement for good control over the size.
So lets say I want to target a screen size of 1000 * 750, would I set this size before I started composing the scene or after.
Where would I set this size on the preview or render menu?
I guest what I am asking for is a simple step by step guide to setting the exported image size.
Any assistance appreciated
Thanks

Hi
Many thanks for your prompt reply.
I have not bought any comic pdfs from other artists yet, but it is a good idea.
If anyone has any experience which is good please let me know, in the meantime I will research.
Thanks

many thanks for your reply.
From the information you gave I thought that information and tutorials for trans-map and alternative image would be easily found
See attach screenshot of a google search for 3d transmap, there is nothing relevant.
Could you please be a bit more specific, please note I am a bit of a amateur with Poser.
pakled many thanks for your suggestion but using groups and making them invisable does not give me the accuracy I need
Thanks

Thread: How to avoid body creasing when posing arm and legs on a figure? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi
Thanks for the information
Noted to fix in Postwork, I have photoshop and am a novice user in this
I understand this is a Poser forum but any tips on how to solve this problem with postwork appreciated.
If I just clone the area from another body part I feel it may look false
Thanks

Thread: What model formats can be imported into Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
hi
thanks for the information
I was aware of that menu item but as you indicate it is a little confusing.
One file format I have seen that has good quality models is C4d
I did some reseach on google and this would indicate it can be imported ?
Yet I see no menu item and you did not mention this
What du u think
Just for info
Do u know what format is Vue models
I suppose what would be nice would be a table with the following headers
Type of file ( eg 3dstudio0
File extension ( eg .3ds )
Used usualy by what program
Can be imported into Poser ( can / cannot / needs modification)
Etc etc
Maybe this would make a good tutorial Dr Geep
As this would allow people who bought Poser to use it to the maximum benefit
Just thoughts
Thanks
Thread: How to fit boots to a figure, help requested | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
hi
Many thanks for your prompt and comprehensive replies.
These boots were made to conform to V4 V3 and A3
So by trying to fit these to Luke 3 I am trying to fit the boots to a figure they were not designed for.
My question is " can you parent an item such as a pair of boots to a figure they were not orginally designed to conform to"
Thanks
