If possible setup your content/library directory on you D:/ drive. Those tend to have atleast a terrabyte more space.
Thread: hdri files | Forum: DAZ|Studio
I created a subfolder in the Content folder called 1a-HDRI then put them all there. And as I manually loaded them then saved a scene.duf file in the same folder, for future use.

Thread: Exporting from Poser | Forum: DAZ|Studio
I have to agree there is definitely a problem with the transporter obj everything else loads, individual props seem to load fine, and the larger set piece can be imported without issue, if loaded individually. The problem happens with the full scene file, as in crash, because it includes the transporter obj file.

You can add your poser directory so that Daz Studio can see it under the Edit/Preferences menu. Then you simply click on the runtime entry and it will load. Now depending on the textures/shaders used, they may transfer in a usable form. There's plenty of daz shaders that you can change surfaces as necessary.
Thread: E-on website? | Forum: Vue
A website down for a couple days is one thing, down for a few weeks, there's other stuff at play at a corporate decision level. There hadn't been a lot of traffic at the cornucopia store for a while. Lack of sales means lack of revenue.

Thread: How do I know if Poser cloths, props, scenery works for DAZ? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Point taken, I should have prefaced my comments with the couple extra words, "Of the products i've bought that stated they weren't tested in DAZ Studio, or only tested in Poser" . That said, a buyer should ask questions prior to purchase, but generally speaking if a product is made to conform to V4, A4, Girl 4, it's going to work in DAZ Studio with a small amount of material fiddling. The caveat though is I've probably been doing this for a while so tinkering doesn't phase me, other might find it more of a challenge. No one said art is easy.

There is not one poser product that hasn't worked in DazStudio as far as the geometry and morphs go from the main 3 stores. If the materials are a problem for that particular product, I have a whole bunch of dedicated DS shaders that I've bought that quickly re-texture the item. And we're good to go.

Thread: I miss Daz | Forum: DAZ|Studio
It should have been done faster, but the fixes are starting to show. In six months it will all be a bad memory. And the old forum still exist, as mention, forumarchive.daz., it is a valuable resource and of course DAZ will keep it available.

Very good point, Ian! I buy products based on the quality of the products and generally DAZ products are exceptional. There are also exceptional products at Rdna and Rendo but they are mixed amidst more average products. However long it takes to get the DAZ store fixed is how long it takes, I'll patiently wait and be back there once it reopens, and the forums will be working too. DAZ has a track record of doing a good job at providing content. If you don't like them, tough , noone is fording you to shop there. It's becoming fairly apparent that the people who are usually try to bash Daz in any number of forum posts probably have a deep seeded historical gripe for the aggression, but it's not necessarily based on any facts, and there's at least one example of it in this thread alone. quick edit to rephrase.
