I'm happy to report that Genesis 8 works fine in Poser 11.
Looks great! If I may ask, are you able to get some decent Inverse Kinetics working on her limbs? I recall GF3 being difficult on that front.

Interesting, though a little more plastic like than I'm looking for. Thanks though!

Thanks everyone, though I seem to have figures it out. It's the "enhance multilayer tranparency" checkbox that clogs everything up, every other preview option doesn't slow things down noticably, evenwhen taken to max.
So, lesson learned, don't check that box if you want things to run smooth.
I'm currently running SR2.

What if it was the image featured on your gallery homepage? That way a user could effectively choose which one of their images gets put up on the art charts.

Thread: How do you meld props together into a single prop in Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks so much, that definitely did the trick!
Quote - The easiest way is to export all the pieces as an obj file and reimport it. It'll be one obj. then.

Quote - Yes, it's possible. All you need to do is export the props to a single OBJ, pick the items you want in the file by using the Subset option.
It would be a good idea to use the Grouping tool to assign appropriate groups and mateials before exporting, and therefore be sure to tick the right options in the export dialog.DrGeep has tutorials covering the steps if you want an illustrated guide.
Sweet, thanks a bunch!

Thread: OT: How many people here are making actual movies with Poser/Other? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Ummm...something about each core processing shadows randomly, or something. So every frame the IDL is calculated somewhat differently, resulting in noise. I don't imagine rendering in png would be a difference. I'll try to set up something in the next few days and see if it's still a problem...maybe a SR fixed it.
I have the same problem, and I came to the forums today to see if someone has dealt with it yet.
Oh and yes, I animate with poser. One reason why you don't see many animators "here" is that rendo, while friendly to poser artists, is not very accomodating to those who want to post animations (requires allowing larger file sizes). The best I can do here is post a small low quality gif. Can't even post a .swf, which you can at least squeeze 30 frames out of at a decent size.

Thread: Rigging help | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - If you're trying to group a model of any complexity completely within Poser you'll be wanting some heavy prescription medication. Seriously, do the grouping in a modeler that can write grouping info out to OBJ format. I don't know whether Zbrush can do this but there are many other choices that allow MUCH MUCH EASIER methods of selecting and grouping polygons than Poser's halfassed tool for that.
Thanks for the tip, and for the link!

Thread: Rigging help | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - What method do you use when rigging?
I usually group the mesh in UV mapper, then use Phi-builder to set the hierarchy and finally in Poser I adjust the joints as best as I can. Looking at the picture, it might not be such a hard task to rig this character (nice looking character too). Unfortunately, my method will likely destroy the morphs.
So far I've been trying to do it all in Poser. As I said, I'm not very good at it. I'll give those programs a shot though.

Quote - if this is freebie, ya could post the obj file and let various people try to animate the chode figure. they also need to animate the tentacles, and the knees are almost touching the hip, hence it waddles when it walks.
I'll see about getting it up as a freebie.

Two questions. One, has the figure been grouped for rigging? Two, could you show us an image with Smoothed Lined Diasplay Style?
It has yet to be grouped. So far I've managed to group 1 hand. I'll get an image up shortly.
