Thank you for the reply and the information which is most helpful and kind of you. I have installed 11.3 by following the link to the correct download page as shown in your reply. However, and there always seems to be one of those. I installed Reality 4 for Poser in the old version, and now find its no longer showing in 11.3. I had to use the Snarlygribbly fix to install Reality and I followed the install path and find everything is intact, so what's happening there...Again thanks in advance for any info
Thread: Dawn and Dusk by an ex Virgin | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Thank you so much for the comments. This was my first serious attempt at a render and I had no hopes that it would be any good. Lights are something I need to play with to learn how they work, and moving eyes is something that's a mystery to me right now. I tried Daz ages ago and have some content from there which I am trying to bring into Poser, with some success for the Victoria Mike figures, but how about genesis, there is nowhere to add the data files which it seems replaces the runtime/geometries folders. Its very slowly becoming less confusing, I just have to keep on keeping on....
Thread: Two new banal questions with pictures | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Thanks Andy, the first was cured by downloading another zip and that one worked fine. And you are right on both counts because the problems with the figure vanished once I rendered it. Thank you so much...
Thread: LOST VIRGINITY but many questions | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Well I never. On checking the folders in the content I found that I had missed a null object in the original that was part of the geometries folder. I didn't notice it because it was not a blue folder. Anyway I copied it over and it worked, V4 loaded in Poser without any problems. So thank you hborre for the advice and I also noticed the nudity tick box on the forum box too. We move on!
Thread: LOST VIRGINITY but many questions | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Sorry about the nudity, I had forgotten she was nude because that fact is hardly noticeable due to the poor quality of the image. And thank you for the advice which I am not sure I follow. Do you mean that I may have more than one V4 loaded in more than one location in Poser? Do you also suggest that I may have placed content for V4 in the wrong place or places? I need to check that out, thanks for the help...
Thread: Still a frustrated and very angry Poser virgin | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Thanks for the reply. I think your right about the fact that the ride is just beginning, and I think that, maybe hope is a better word because my knowledge is minimal, Renderosity being primarily interested in the marketing of the software and content will be keen to sort out this mess and build a solid profitable business. It needs a total rebuild as far as user interface and friendliness is concerned but any half way intelligent person could tell that, and I have no doubt that the new guys and gals are probably capable of doing the job. I paid my money, and I have no choice but to go along for the ride, its going to be interesting and I hope results will not be long in arriving....
Thread: Adding content to Poser 11 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just an observation for those few of us who are Mac users. Unzipping a file to an existing folder in Mac all delete all the existing content and overwrite it with the content contained in the zip file, but you do get a warning to that effect when you try it. Not sure if this is relevant cos this thread seems to have been dormant for some time...
Thread: A Poser Virgin needs help | Forum: New Poser Users Help
It’s great that members are taking an interest and making the effort to post replies and possible explanations. I suppose given the complexities of creating these constructs no one should be critical of some differences or dare I say errors. The problem with LF is not a huge one of course, the main problem for me is the sheer complexity of the entire application... Thanks for taking an interest...

Thanks for the explanation Nails, answers are much appreciated and make me want to continue trying to get this into my thick skull...
Thread: A Poser Virgin needs help | Forum: New Poser Users Help
I also began with LF and the lesson 1 video and had the same problem. So my reaction was if the instructional video is wrong, or the actual figure is, how can I be confident in the entire thing.. Still I remain optimistic but I won't buy anything until I am convinced this is going to prove better than my experience so far...
Thread: Return of the Virgin | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Well I followed some instructions to add V4 to my Poser stuff. I should mention I had already installed Daz a while back so I have some things to hand including V4, and I found V4 was in my library, however when I tried to open her in the view window I gat a message saying file not found. So I exited and this is the screen shot of what I found when I did. This is clearly V4 and it can be posed, I did take a render but it ended up a a PMD file which is new to me, but things are moving on I think...

My sincere thanks to those below for the advice, it’s reassuring to find my wingeing was not ignored. Of course having made a financial investment I will not give up on this? In truth I only started playing around yesterday and today I am surprised to find how much of my fumbling produced some knowledge that stuck. I do read, rather too much TBH, though I found the manual a touch confusing. Anyway my thanks and of course having found and dug around here, many questions can be expected very soon???
