The text does not contrast well with the brown bkg in the ornate boxes. The white on black is easier. However, in both cases the text is rather small. I don't like the idea of the text getting so big it takes over the page--the illustrations are quite rightly the center of attention--so I don't know how you could handle that. I'd like to be able to read the text more quickly, not puzzling over it. Perhaps if the text weren't in italic, it might be easier to read. I believe there are also some javascript magnifying-glass effects available that might allow a kind of partial magnification. Or text could be made to appear--somewhat larger--on mouse-over.
Text and illustration have an uneasy relationship. They are processed in different parts of the brain, and require a kind of shifting attention. Comics mostly get around that by having, well, rather primitive language, large and obvious. Pow! Bang! Eeeeek! Graphic novels usually separate the text, if it is at all complex, from the illustration. Words written are rather strange, you know. They aren't natural like sounds and pictures. They require an odd sort of complex translation, from squiggles on a page to the images and thoughts within the mind. The process has to be learned--the brain actually has to create a place for this, a separate area, which has to happen when you are young--or it won't happen at all.Â
But the words are important....so it is a real design problem.....

Now that is quite charming. Thanks for showing it to us.
The pages are well designed, colorful, spirited. I have a mild issue with the text--hard for me to read. My eyes, you know, aren't what they used to be.
You have a link to the music at YouTube. Have you thought of embedding the music with the pages? One could  listen to the opera while browsing your work.
Anyway, congratulations. It looks like a very personal project for you.

I dont like waiting for html pages to load either....so avoiding html would be fine with me.
But what format is it delivered in, finally? And where would you display it? Would the end product be seen on a webpage (perhaps embedded?), or playable only on game players like the xbox? If you made one of these stories, where would people see it?
This sounds like an ambitious and intriguing project!

So I could embed a video in a web page. A man, say, walking up to a wall that has two doors. The video stops? pauses? I click the left side of the video,say--and the left door opens, and the video continues with him going through it? And if I click the right side, the right door opens and the video continues with him going through that door? Or do we jump to another web page, a new video, the man going thru the left or right door?
In html I can already put text below a video, giving the option to go left or right--but only by jumping to a new html page which will have the appropriate video. Clicking the video itself--somehow putting layers/triggers over it--I've never tried, but it does sound interesting.Â

Are you saying there would be clickable areas in a movie itself? Like an mp4 Â video? Or is this jumping from web page to web page?

I have a hard time understanding why people are so annoyed by this forum, to the point of leaving. It's true there are occasional lapses of civility, but this is true everywhere, in life I mean, and I am sure the technical aspects of this forum--the search function, etc--could be improved, and should be improved--but hey, this is still a great place to learn things, get answers to questions, and I personally am delighted by the personalities that creep out between our words, even if I have to wince sometimes at the flailing egos and the virtual tantrums..... Â Keep it going, I say, and enjoy....

I went from Poser 7 to PP2010 and at first I hated it...had to wrestle my mind around all the new stuff...but it was worth it. There's a big jump you have to make but it will be worth it.Â
The x86 is the 32 bit version. The other will be the 64 bit, which you should use.
Persevere, and relax. It will be worth it.Â

You might consider exporting it as a series of .png frames, too. Assemble them in your video program. With .pngs you can use transparencies, and layer images over images quite easily. Also: if the export fails at some point, you'd lose the entire AVI video--but you'd keep all the frames before the failure, and could just start exporting again at that point. Good safety feature.

The new Posers offer many different export options. Have you clicked the dark triangle next to "Format"? All sorts of export options will appear, including various AVI formats.

Can you make a walk path for a camera? Or I suppose you could parent a camera to an "invisible" figure, and make a walk path for him?

Thread: Help Needed: Moving Final Frame of Animation to First Frame... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's a 30 frame layout? Select the last frame--draw from top to bottom in the Edit Keyframes pallet, which should be below your scene--use your mouse to draw/select--and then drag the whole column to the first frame, dropping it there.
To prevent this happening again, I believe you can make the scene one frame long only--where it says Frame 000001 of 000030--just write 1 in place of the 30.

I don't know of any really good Photoshop forums, but there are a lot of Photoshop tutorials, covering almost anything imaginable, on Youtube. Sometimes when I have an issue I just browse through them and find answers...
