Can each frame can generate it's own mask? if each frame is it's own photoshop file the action could be recoreded.. and re-run smoothly enough... just how to asemble and make it interactive in flash would be beyond my current skills in that program at the moment.
if all the frames are in one file and all the coresponding alpha masks are in one file, a slightly more elaborate action could be implimented. it's just a matter of letting the action know who's boss by telling it to treat each frame's mask individually... good luck
Thread: Batch mask application? | Forum: Photoshop
Are you asking a vector program to animate, efectivly supply, the "blue screen" back ground animation for
the animated image supllied by bryce...?
if it is even possible to pull each frame of the bryce animation as it's own file.
yes you could record an action that uses the alpha channel as a MASK to eliminate unwanted image area and save that frame as a png file.. save the fram and start procesing the next one...
From what i know of dreamweaver each transparent image .png would have to be imported as a seperate entity.
i would think many frames of image would take up alot more memory in flash,
Are you taking this to web? HOw many frames can you get away with? will the frames take an immence amount of "loading..." time due to the file sizes ( in dimentions and memory) of the "bryce/photoshop" frames

just having something to do with Photoshop will give you little problems to solve some of the simpler concepts and then you can expand on them and even experiment. From personal experience i can say that all play and no work makes Karosnikov a poor graphic artist, i tinker i make icons i make tiles, desktop backgrounds. I used to hold being a graphic artist on a pedestal, however I'm going to try and be a Binder now a post-art and post print, hands on guy who folds paper using machines all day but... I dabble
I have recently joined a soccer team and as amateur as we may be i thought having a set of collector cards, with players photo's stats and etc. Thinking this may help players feel they were important both me and the team, I used my investigator personality type and after google'n and looking at other propels examples I will be attempting to make a functional and informative yet artistic piece... no one trick will help this project be great, knowing them all even clouds an initiate such as I
develop your concept and nurture it as your skills grow so will your versatility. Try something specific and ask aout it - you'll probably learn many in's and out's , and the many possibilities there are within this program.
There used to be an archive of photoshop hints and tip even some mini-tutorials givin by members, even if we can't link back any re- asked questions are either dealt with again or linked back so bring your project to us or invent one just so you may learn more. I think the tools of the trade, the paint brush, the selection tool, the clone tool and healing brush, the dodge and burn can each be in turn used to assist your needs. PS is just waiting for you to BRING IT ON.

Go 7 ! holding on strong ! too many fatures can make the purpose this program was made for a bit vague... as dynamic as PS is attempting to be i think 3D/film and other nefarious addons could be seperated from PS much like imageready is ....
Thread: Help ALL my patterns are gone! | Forum: Photoshop
each pattern resides in a set of patterns. i find it handy to define several tiles inside one patterns set, which you then SAVE. This save actually gets them into the Drive not in some temporary zone. you can name it. Feel free to load a specific texture set - if and when you want, there's a pallette for it with all sorts of expanding/drop down menus to explore

in history palette, there's is a Duplicate history state button (tiny icon button 3rd from the left, (next to camera and the bin) in history palette. a clone document will appear, one will change because you will edit the image with the full force of your photoshop skills. refer to the original as often as you deem necessary.
For an edited image. pause editing for a moment.
view the history palette, use that camera button. there will be two history states, (look at the top of the history palette, you may need to scroll up in this mini-window)
one pic is from when this image was opened and the other pic are of your image in different stages of editing, ordered from top to bottom, recent to ancient history.
notes: How far back you want to go and how important the image looked at several important points in time will probably dictate how many history state (pics) you have and / or how many of them are now a duplicate document floating in the background.

image > mode > lab,
show channels palette ... click the "Lightness" channel, edit select all. copy.
image > mode > rgb
paste, select pasted layer
show layers palette - change opacity 75%
select background (colorful) layer
image > adjust > gradient map. use the black to white gradient.
some images may need the mid point moved or a dark shade of grey shadow tones or an off-white highlights but at lower opacities, the gradient map fills in some tonal range unchanged
Thread: Making ruler measure in pixels...? | Forum: Photoshop
correct.
I can't tear my self away from using pixel rulers.. it is great stuff!
from the left to the right, the ruler seems to always flow from negative numbers, to zero then to positive numbers.
from top to bottom, the ruler seems to always flow from negative numbers, to zero then to positive numbers.
i like my positive diection to be, up and right ./ instead phothop is right and down

btw RawRyder_ it's easier to link a solid explaination of the basics so any user can expand on the idea... i can imagine that any user with any skill level would read this thread and use the advice given by all the contriutors soon you'll be able to clone and retouch the way you want and utilise many methods to get the result your after. Goodluck with whatever images you process with Photoshop.

I haven't purchased the the powder or sharpness from her but from what i've seen of the tutorials you could simulate what she does...or develop your own technique - maybe select a colour range perhaps filter gausian blur, and add mask to it... i want to make vids like these... much eaiser to talk than to type...This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
