Thread: Into The Woods - Ecosystem and Tutorial | Forum: Vue
Thanks Irish. I tried and tried but I couldn't figure how to get it working. Your setup isn't the same as mine, I don't have Vue in the same folders, Program Files/e-on software/Vue Infinite/etc. So I tried just extracting the sub folders under Vue Infinte. Well they installed but now I can't find the ecosystem material. I've got the ground, grass, and the tree objects; teg-grass, teg-rockpile, and tegtree, But not the ecosystem material. Either that or I'm just confusing myself. It is getting kind of late.

It looks nice. I've tried your material. I keep getting a error that it can't find TegTreeFull.pz3. Anybody else have a problem with this?

Thread: I lost my collections. Anybody know how to get them back? | Forum: Vue
Thanks, but I had already deleted those too. I got an answer from E-on tec support. They sent me a new collections.env file. I guess there is no easy way to repopulate the collections.

Thread: Poser 6 cannot handle textures with same name | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
They do recommend that you keep your texture file names unique. From the readme file: ------------------------- - Texture search: In previous Poser versions, textures were occasionally specified by their file name only. Since in that case the search mechanism has to search with just the name, it will find the first texture with a matching name. Please keep your texture names unique to avoid loading the wrong texture when opening legacy scene files. Poser 6 always stores an application relative path or an absolute path (whichever is appropriate) in the scene file. Also, the Poser 6 Texture Manager always displays the full path of all loaded or previously loaded textures, facilitating to find out from where textures got loaded. -------------------------- Mike

Thanks. I'm not sure I know what you mean when you say they are off focused. Can you explain that? On the shadows, i'm using a single light (the sun) and that's what the program came up with. Is there another way to lengthen the shadows, other than postwork? Thanks Mike
Thread: Which is the best Poser for Traditional artist - price is a consideration | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you all. Your input has help me make a decision. I'll be giving her my old Poser 4. Then if it works for her and she finds it interesting, Dad and I will buy her Poser 6 for her upcoming birthday. I appreciate all the help with this decision. Mike

Yea, sorry about that. I was in the poser forum. Somehow this crossposted into the 3DS forum. Not really sure how that happened.

Thanks for all the great feedback, folks. Guslaw is right. She's not interested in creating computer art itself. She was interested in using it as an artists mannequin. When she has an idea for a picture, but she can't get the shape of the hand just right, or when she paints the face from a slightly different angle. When we looked at my Poser 5 the rendering really didn't give her what she wanted as much as just looking at the preview figure did. Dont' get me wrong she appreciated the various computer generated portraits in the gallery, but she justs wants something to help her with her oil painting. Thanks
Thread: How is poser 5 working on lower end machines | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm using a Pentium 333. Poser 5 seems to be working fine. I do have to wait at times, but since I haven't seen it on a faster machine I don't know if this is normal. I have been able to use the Face, Material, and the Hair room. haven't tried Cloth yet. Rendering works fine. It's a little faster than Poser 4. Oh... I have the ram at maximum, 384.
