Thread: Any help finding a runtime installer I bought one from 3DCI thats the name of th | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi Glitterati3D
Yes sorry I did not inform clearly, so here goes it again. I purchased a Runtime Installer use with Windows 7 the folder it was kept in is named 3DCI and held contents one of which has a path like this "C:InstallerRuntime Installer.exe"
All my files relate to desktop icons only, all within the desktop folder, but non will work because the C: drive was changed. Thus I lost the program.
I do however have a large backup of all zip files I have downloaded, but I cannot remember the zip name.
I hope this makes sense, I cannot find emails related to the purchase, due to it being so long ago, something like 2 or 3 yrs so I am trying to find the creator in the hopes of getting the zip name.
As is the case with a lot of zip files they either have the creators name plus its content name or an abbreviation of it, I was sure it was 3DCI, thought it was a member name but cannot find it in the member search.
Any help would be nice if possible Cheers Rowlando

Hi acrionx
I could not see the guides links in your post.
Yes I have an idea about creating the texture maps etc, just thought there was more to it, or a tutorial on making things work with semideu's advanced shaders in for use in poser??

Hi hborre
The general preferences shows the library tab and its set to normal within it. ( nothing in there about docking)
Its floating not docked ( not sure what you mean library palette itself?

Thread: How do you move Poser "new figures" to another PC running same version of Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
So as not to cause problems I would no use anyting different from what your old pc poser 6 would do in order to find your content.
If your content is large ( my external runtime is 600 gig ) just copy it to a new hard drive and install it using the same name drive as you have in your old pc.
But it you have your content in the poser 6 runtime folder then you need to mirror that in your new pc no matter how big.
Failiing to do so, will more than likely cause your new poser 6 install to not be able to find the content especially for your v4 modified stuff. I hate it when poser asked where something is. You load a pre made clothed v4 figure and poser decides it can't find a material or something even when you have deep search on in poser.
Just to note if you use a network hd and go that way, be prepared for poser to ask where things are for your content.
A much better method for loading content is getting the fully usable trial version of P3D0 http://www.senosoft.com/softp3do.php its the best for loading poser stuff and finding it.

Try blacksmith 3d paint - http://www.blacksmith3d.com/
I think Redo own it now -You can paint right over the the seams and save them get the trial version to see if it works for you.

You need to mirror the exact Poser 6 settings ( the main program install settings) in the new machine. Id suggest installing poser 6 as a new install to your new machine first.
Ensure the widows 8 pc is able to install poser 6 xp backwards compatible
The copy the Poser files from your old pc to the new one. ( All files ) if you content for V4 are in an external runtime then copy that runtime into the same name hardrive into your new pc.
So if V4 content you have created is located in D:/ external runtime/V4 you need to have an exact copy of a D:/ hardrive this will then not cause poser new install to throw a fit when looking for your content in the new pc.
Poser 6 is an old program but I think all your created content for V4 that is saved in the Cr2 or pose files will remain in them. Just ensure the entire content for them is the same in the new pc.
You will not hurt your stuff if you copy the HD and install it in the new pc. especially if its an external runtime you use for poser 6. If don't use an external runtime then the content will go into your new poser 6 install on the new pc.
Hope it helps Cheers I have done what you are doing a number of times.
