I can only look at the level of support for P5 and P6 figures, which have less than 1% of the variety of products available for the DAZ figures, and bet that the P7 figures won't likely get signficantly better levels of support. Money does talk and the more content people buy for those figures, the more that content providers will be creating for them.
Sydney looks too cartoonish for my tastes right out of the box. I haven't played much with the figures, but haven't played much with V4 either. With TrekkieGrrl using these figures a lot, will there be a Rickman morph coming soon for Simon?
Thread: Can Sydney be puchased without P7? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Miki, Kelvin, Koji, and I think James G2 can be purchased separately. Miki gets modest support. P5 figures were never well supported and most Poser users have those figures (they're in P5-P7).
It's more a phenomenon of where people are buying Poser content than anything. When the first Victoria and Michael came out, they were far better figures than the P4 characters before them. The new EF Poser figures aren't significantly better, or (in my opinion) even as good as the current DAZ figures. Apollo Maximus was a better figure, but didn't grab enough of an audience. Unfortunately, Anton pulled that figure from the market and that kills any chance of that figure ever having an increased user base (and probably hurts Anton's efforts at releasing a new figure in the future).
It doesn't mean that a new figure won't eventually wrest DAZ's grip on human characters in the future, but it will take something that's much better than what is available today.

Tailor can also help transfer morphs into clothes, though I've had spotty success with it.

I don't have SolidWorks, but have dealt with people that have exported ProE models. Unfortunately, I don't have details, but there are a few things I've learnedIf you have a VRML exporter, it should have different levels of compression and I've had decent luck with the middle level of compression.
There should be a way to turn interiors into solids before exporting. The advantage to this is that it deletes a lot of interior details that aren't needed. For example, your submachine gun probably has interior moving parts that do not need to be seen in Poser--eliminating that level of detail decreases the polygons that will be exported.
The real problem is that 3D CAD programs aren't modeled with polygons and, when converted to polygons, tend to blow up drastically in size. There are some high end programs that are supposed to reduce the filesize efficiently while not reducing the level of model detail, but I haven't tried them. I've provided a link to a site I found a few years ago when I was looking into the matter:

http://www.equi4.com/catfish.html
The paid version of WhereIsIt is supposed to lift the 2 Gb limit. Catfish is free and that's always nice. It's not perfect, but it does a nice job of indexing disk contents.
Thread: OT-Burning files to DVD | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The info at the WhereIsIt site says that the shareware version of the program is limited to 2 Gb info on a disk, so a full 4.7 Gb disk won't be fully indexed.
Another freeware program, Catfish, doesn't have that limitation.

PoserWorld has one that was originally made for the P4 Male, but has also been adapted to most of the DAZ male figures.

PoserWorld is the best bet for P4 Male clothing.
There should be a free laptop or notebook in freebies here.

There's also a mortar at RG Studios, but I can't recall which model. His links usually go over his bandwidth each month.Thread: 158 free Car Materials re-release | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Since you're calling this a re-release, is it safe to say that there's nothing new if I have the old one and shouldn't download it?
Thread: How long does it take to draw good Poser art? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've never completed an image in under four hours.
Artistically, using Poser for comic art requires more effort to lay out an image and less effort to finish it.

The G2 SuperBundle, advertised in the banner at CP, shows an uploaded date from September. Is that really the same as the new one?
