You're right, 2012. No, not really sure about the difference between rendering and rendering? a preview
Thread: Need beginner Advice | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
more info - even though I'm told the program is not responding, it's still rendering a few more squares. Should it take this long? When I watch a video tutorial, their rendering seems to take seconds. Is there a 'render preview' that perhaps I'm missing?
Thread: Need beginner Advice | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
perhaps I need to give it a lot of time. I just tried rendering and again, it stopped at the graphic, but just moved one square after a good minute of time. Now it's stopped again. When I go to CTRL ALT Delete, it shows the program not respondng.

As well, as mentioned, the default background and floor is brown. How do I delete the background and floor so I just have the wireframe floor I see on many tutorials?
Thanks again.
I feel I should repay for this advice. Again, I'm 64 but well versed in hard disk recording - just getting into 3D art to illustrate my music. If anyone needs advice on starting up a hard disk recording studio, or some basics of Sonar Producer Series, just get in touch. Glad to help!

Thanks for the advice. It took my partner and I six years to learn pro tracks and sonar. And forums like this help. Being older, you can't help thinkingt that you're 'bothering' someone when asking foolishly simple questions of the pros.
I have another however. In this thread I talk about how when I add my bubble zeppelin to a blank scene, it's huge! So my immediate problem was reducing the size. Using the pose camera helped, and framing it, but when I used the auxillary camera it did two things that are nearly impossible for me correct - the figure dropped down through the floor almost out of sight on the screen. When I use the pose camera, there's the ground stuck in the middle of the figure.
My question is, why is the figure so huge when I bring it into a blank scene? And, with some cameras, when I use the zoom tool with the command button to zoom out of the scene for a better view, the figure of the zeppelin distorts with each click of the mouse?
Thanks for anyone who takes the time to help out old Rubicon.
We have a community college close by - Conestoga - and was thinking of posting a note offering payment to someone with Poser skills to come out to my studio and run through the software with me. That to me saves so much time and the purchase of video tutorials. If something suddenly doesn't work that's supposed to work, according to a tutorial, you have a live person there to solve the problem and teach the solutions.

Never mind, got the frame object to center and reduce in size. Too bad there wasn't a pick tool like photoshop, but I'm sure I'm working with a lot more parameters. I'm 64, been at it on the computer for quite some time, learning Pro Tracks, sonar, giga studio, etc. plus getting to know photoshop. I just hope I have enough years left to learn this software!!! Yikes!!
I appreciate everyone's help! I know I enjoyed helping those out learning sonar on the user forum. Where would we be without user forums like this.
I'm planning to purchase some video tutorials to help me out.
Thanks again. Hope you don't mind some rediculously simple-minded questions to launch me on this software. I appreciate every scrap of advice.

Thanks so much. That works, except now the figure of the zepplin is huge and when I use the magnifying glass to make it smaller, it distorts the image. Any ideas. I appreciate this help just to get me going. I have read through the manual so I'm not trying to cheap, just need to get started. The poser camera is great, I can translate now on the XYZ axis, just that the figure is huge when it loads.

Hey, thanks so much. I tried it, imported from character to get the unmatted ship, then went into the pose folder and imported the mat and it worked!
Now, how about a Bryce package. Is it possible to do the same thing? I have the Bryce package Celestial Traveler by 1971s.
Also, while I have you to help, I went into a daz site that offered Bryce 7 as a free download to try out. However, when I went to open Bryce after downloading, it asked for name and serial number. What a waste of time. I remember buying Bryce 6 for under $75. Now, it's very expensive?
I have a cat as well who runs our household. As well 2 grandkids! Keep things 'secure'!

Thanks so much for your help. How do I 'point' ds to the funtime as a poser format file? I really appreciate your help.

Thanks Thunder Stone
I tried a search with no luck. I've written a gothic popopera that takes place in a dark music conservatory and the 'fraas' and 'suurs' all wear hooded cassocks. I'm not familiar with 3d as of yet, but plan to soon. In the meantime, would it be difficult for you to create 3 poses in Michael and perhaps a female model front, back, side as png files for photoshop. You could send them to my email site. (I'm retired and just figuring things out in the 3D world.) If this takes up too much time, don't worry about it.
