Thread: Vue vs OnyxTree | Forum: Vue
Any image galleries on the web for one to compare? I'm more interested in the photorealistic aspect. I like Vues qualities which one of theese best compares to Vue tree wise?

Yes I'm trying to compare plants from one to the other. I currently have Vue and I love it. I also have 3d Max but I hate the Atmospheres and trees. I want to upgrade it to try to match Vue photorealism. Also thinking in getting Dreamscape plug in or similar. Any suggestions? Thanks
Thread: Transform question | Forum: Photoshop
Resampling refers to changing the pixel dimensions (and therefore display size) of an image. When you downsample (or decrease the number of pixels), information is deleted from the image. When you resample up (or increase the number of pixels), new pixels are added based on color values of existing pixels. You specify an interpolation method to determine how pixels are added or deleted. Applying the Unsharp Mask filter to a resampled image can help refocus the image's details. When an image is resampled, an interpolation method is used to assign color values to any new pixels it creates, based on the color values of existing pixels in the image. The more sophisticated the method, the more quality and detail from the original image are preserved. Which resampling method bicubic or bilinear gives better results for transforming images though?
Thread: Transform question | Forum: Photoshop
I think it has to do with the interpolation method. Every time you transform a selected area it has to interpolate some pixels to redraw the new image as a result you loose some information. The question is which is the best interpolation method for transforming selections.
Thread: Transform question | Forum: Photoshop
I have been using a larger image than the one I want to transform to. However still seems to pixelate after transformatiom. Maybe the best way is to reduce the image size to slighly larger than the final transformed one, then transform it. What is the best way to reduce image size so as not to loose much resolution in this case? Thanks

Thread: Importing into Vue Pro | Forum: Vue
It works fine now...You have to make sure you uncheck the item "Resize and center imported objects" in the Options dialog box. I didn't have that....otherwise it's good. Thanks
Thread: Importing into Vue Pro | Forum: Vue
I updated the model back in 3dStudio by adding new elements or objects in 3dStudio, then I want to update my Vue 4Pro project by importing those new elements and objects to my Vue 4 Pro project. In other words I'm doing all the modeling in 3dStudio and importing as I go along into Vue 4 Pro. I'm not exporting from Vue at all. What do you mean by aiming camera north, is that the main camera pointing up the screen in plan view? Thanks

Paul Thanks for the answer...I have VuePro. I can move the "square dot" to set the zone in focus ok but how do I determine the size of the zone in focus? Is it a distance that is always constant or there is a setting where it can be changed... say I want a larger area in the view to be in focus. Thanks
Thread: plant tutorial | Forum: Vue
Yes its the Pro version I was curious about, since I was told it can very easily create plants compared to Vue d'esprit.
Thread: Vue 4 or Vue 4 Professional | Forum: Vue
I currently have Vue d'esprit 4. Is it worth upgrading to Vue 4Pro? What's the difference between the two versions? its not very clear on the vue website details. Thanks

Yeah... I've imported extruded surfaces from 3DStudio and never can get the material to align to any scale. There must be a trick to it.
