Well, I wasn't sure if it possible to have actors in a PP2 file. I already did a wall prop and separate door objects with the origin set to the hinges, but I didn't know that you can save them as group. The secret is 'select subset'. Hmmm, maybe I should read the manual one day. Thanks to all - Walter

A real killer. As this is one of the hardest things to do with Vue, you get the warmest welcome possible for this tut. I'm in great dept here because of fine people like you. - Walter

I call it Dragon Hall, because of the scale like structures on the columns and walls. There is also an abstract Dragon Sculpture on the outside above the entrance.
Thread: HELP, too many objects in my Poser4 scene? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

I restarted from scratch and this time it worked. All 94 props in. You can see part of this scenery in the Poser/Architecture Gallery. It seems that I found a Poser4 bug. I looked through the *.pz3 file and found the translation coordinates of some object were zero. So this happened during saving the file. After restarting Poser this bug was gone. Weird? Well everythings fine now. I just save and reload a complex scene step by step in case the bug returns. Thanks for your help - Walter PS.: Ich habe keine gruppiert. Die Menge kommt einfach daher das diese Halle aus vielen Teilen (Boden, Wandstke, Slen, etc.) besteht und damit beliebig neu kreiert werden kann.Thread: Problems with objects with multiple materials | Forum: Vue
Thanks a lot. I didn't know this 'multiple material handling feature' of Vue until yet. Should be no big deal though. Other thing is the problem with the Bump-Maps. Especially Vicky3 needs a lot of work, if you have to assign the bump maps manually. Is this normal behaviour that the import doesn't work? Thanks - Walter

The reason for my question is, that I still search for the best program for my fantasy story I plan to do. Bryce seemed a good choice (There are a lot outdoor scenes), but the foilage turned my attention to Vue. Cinema 4D seemed also a good choice, because of the integrated modeller, but if you want to have good foilage, you have to pay a lot extra and it is expensive compared to Vue. I agree with Thalaxis, that this Ozone features would be great, but it seems that Vue together with Poser4 might be a good choice for my future plans. Rhino2 may be the modeller and morph tool of my choice. Thanks for the discussion...

So if you use Vue, you cannot use an alternate render engine. I'll definitely have a look into the demo version. Thanks for the input.
Thread: Vue can't texture map OBJ files properly | Forum: Vue
I wouldn't assume it's a problem with UVMapper. OBJ import works fine with Poser, Cinema 4D and Bryce. I think Vue has a bug in the OBJ import filter. The pz3 import filter seems to be OK.

I think that one important thing is to upgrade to Win2000 or even better XP. These OSes handle huge memory requirements much better. I think you have a memory problem and upgrading to 1 Gig RAM won't help much with ME. I run XP with 512MByte RAM and 4Gig HD Space left without any problem yet. If it is the case, do remove all morphs you do not need. This saves you additional memory.
