I thought until I saw these that the .tif would result in a noticeably better render but I agree now with pakled that for general use .jpg appears to be fine. I really prefer tifs for their purity and ability (for an artist) to rework, but for someone purchasing this ready-made they're good. What do you think?

At the moment I am rendering a test with .jpgs compressed at 10/100 (I use PaintShopPro9 -- the scale for compression is 1 to 100). I will post the results when this render is complete.

Thread: P6 to P4 Convertors? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks. I tried that but it cut off the final "figure" section of the .cr2. The cr2's I wish to convert include smart props; that may be the cause. Any others?

You can make a terrain in Terragen and export directly to obj format (with the FEO Plugin).

www.anim8or.com has a great free modeler -- that and UVMapper Pro are really all you need -- plus the free utilities to convert the cr2

The Readme file on my products has a descriptive name (MexicaFloors_ReadMe.txt) and it is in the marketplace. Anything named only readme.txt in my directory has been overwritten by the latest readme.txt, which will be overwritten by another soon. So if you name it readme.txt, not only can I not find it when I look for your product, it likely doesnt exist any more. As for filenames beginning with !!! or variants -- I delete them and don't use the product -- I do not have time to update my runtime every week -- Poser is one tool in my kit, not an occupation. The alphabetical organization exists for a reason -- if you name your products sensibly then I can find and use them -- and if not then they are sent to the recycle bin.

What I want to do is hand-edit to add props -- I copied and pasted from my template .cr2, but the props don't show up.

Thread: Pro Pack will not install | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks, Debbie,
Autorun didn't start -- so I followed the directions in the booklet and double clicked the .exe in the cd dir -- I don't know what the trouble was. I had a similar problem when I originally installed it but don't remember how I solved it. It still will not install from the cd. I guess that there is a software conflict somewhere.
I restored my system to a time before I uninstalled, and once I recopied the files into the CL directory over the old installation, it ran fine except an error about a Python script not existing. I installed the latest Python, monkeyed around some more and now Pro Pack runs fine. Although I got a strange error about quota (memory?) today while loading a giant DNA model... But overall the program is back to normal and the robots are rendering busily.
Thanks to everyone for your help.
