You could try the Amorphium Pro trick that gets around the problem of changing vertex order. That is: import the prop to Rhino, then export and re-import it. That procedure just might get the vertex order right when you export the finished morph. p.s. reversing the normals is more of a texture problem.

A good topic for this forum might be how we can support the continuing evolution and development of Poser. I'm less interested in defending Mac (or Unix or Windows) OS than I am in seeing how we can help Cooper with compassionate advice. So I don't think this is the right forum for OS X apologists and salesmen; however, a forum called comp.sys.mac.systems (among others) is already engaged in that debate.

It will work if you make the cob twice as long as it should be, then shorten it axially. Corn kernels aren't spherical sections.

My vote is to plan a release of Poser 5.0 for Mac OS 9.x, then work on the Poser 5.1 patch for OS X.X concurrently with the Apple software engineers, who won't finish aping out most of the user-unfriendly and user-hostile OS X.1 "features" until July or August 2002. "Isn't OS X.1 already user-friendly?", some people will ask, much in the manner of the courtiers in "The Emperor's New Clothes" fable. Just check newsgroups like comp.sys.mac.system if you have any such illusions. Why add OS X problems to the burden for newbies of learning 3D software?

I'm a newbie here, but I like the vertex modeller. It's relatively stable and not TOOOOO difficult to use 8-) To practice in it, import a wavefront.obj file as vertex object, then select it and go to the modelling room. Try things like pulling on a vertex, selecting groups of polygons and deleting, linking one vertex to another, filling empty polygons, etc. You could try creating an object with a toroidal path in the spline modeller, then converting it to a vertex object in order to deform, increase polygon count, add thickness, etc. One of the bonuses is that you get good UV mapping when converting to a vertex object.

I'm just a newbie, but would 'Another program" be Amorphium (Pro)? That would explain everything.
