I think it depends on their legal definition of "defective". There's no doubt the software does not work as promised, in my mind that IS defective. However CL's definition of defective might mean that it doesn't run at all.

The easiest way that I've been adding materials to more than one group (there might be a better way) is that I've been copy and pasting the entire floating menu to each texture.

When you save and the hair zero's out (or moves halfway off the screen), just move the camera a little bit and it will be back in place. You don't have to close and reopen the file.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but couldn't you save a couple of steps in this process and load up any of the old clothing in POSER and just "save as object"?

Can you save the Poser 5 dynamic hair as an object? Also I tried to add morph targets to the hair, everything worked well when I was creating them, but when I went to move the dials nothing happened. Is there a reason for this?

The thought that a warez user will have an easier time installing Poser 5 than us legitimate users is true. A car thief doesn't have to pay for his car, honest car owners make monthly payments. Well I guess it's all a matter of perspective and how much an individual feels is too much hassle. For the past two years my wife and I have had to deal with insurance companies and claims departments that would pretty much leave you feeling suicidal after dealing with them. I won't go into details but it had to do with endless red tape, incompetent agents, paperwork up the arse and a lot of begging and threatening. If Curious Labs doesn't ask to see my Social Security number, birth certificate, financial records, personal references or my cat's pet license, I'll consider it a hassle-free experience! :)

Okay now I'm getting panicky again. I have WinXP and plan to reinstall it on my new computer. What kind of hellish tortures do I have in store for me? I don't understand why it would be so frustrating (I know I'm missing something) Isn't is just a matter of calling in your serial number and getting it reauthorized? And I'm assuming the same hellish torture would apply to Poser 5 if I wanted to upgrade again in the future? Again, I'm showing my ignorance, but what could be SO BAD that it would make someone stop using the product?
