Thread: Metastreaming | Forum: Animation
Just what I was looking for. Didn't know there was a MetaStream Forum. Trying to impress the Powers that be where I work so that they will let me redo our companies web site (and pay for graphics classes :) smerc

Thread: Off topic but please give your comments. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Spike, I like the graphics, and the page loaded very fast on a 256K direct line. The splash page visually looked very nice. The only thing I might change is the use of more colors, maybe on the menu bar or company logo. But, then again when the rest of the pages are fleshed out it might look colorful enough. I was viewing the site at 800x600 and the nav bar and content was perfectly placed. Plus the naviagation could not of been simplier. smerc

Thread: MetaStream and Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I still can't find the html code, but at www.metastream.com I found a developers pdf document that explains the needed html. I added a small example using the leather boot: http://www.imaginationoutfitters.com/3d_computer_graphics/the_rendered_image/poser.htm I will probably add metastream examples for all my downloads. smerc
Thread: Leather and Chain Bikini top! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I want to but the texture template looked a little crazy. I thought I would try the top first. smerc
Thread: Leather Boots ready and preview of chain mail shirt | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ikyoto, I spent part of the morning searching for sites showing how to make chain mail. I found a site where a guy made a chain mail belt. I snagged his pic, edited it, copied it and created a transmap for it. You really need a bump map to make it look good. I mapped this onto the unitard, but it really streaches the hell out of the map at the seams. I'll have to spend some time in Painter 3D to fix the seams. Plus you really need a higher rez map. 1800x1800 or better. Could you scan in some samples of your work :) smerc
Thread: Fred Fodder ready for testing | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I just tried the zip and it seems to work fine. At what point did you have problems. 1. Downloading 2. Getting WinZip to recognize the file as a zip or 3. The data in the zipped file was garbage? smerc
Thread: The horde | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I had planned to have these posted by Christmas, but well ya know I kinda got busy. Hopefully the first week of January. These creatures are based on THE HORDE from a Saberhagen book "The book of Swords" smerc
Thread: SnowCat | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Looks great. The snow is awesome. Is it straight out of Bryce, or is it post-production. If you want to see some really sad snow, check out some of the diet coke cans. The snow has yellow streaks in it. Really, not kidding. smerc
Thread: Need Most basic Painter 3D help!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I use the full version of Painter3D with none of the problems you mention. I export an obj out of Poser (not the one from the poser directory - it looks screwy) and import it into Painter3D, no problems. Use implicent (sp) mapping and create one from scratch or import an existing one. Save often but check the texture first. I occasionally find stray lines across my texture from when I draw a little to close to the edges of the texture. Do you have the same problems with simple non-poser props? smerc p.s. I'm using Poser 3 not 4 yet.
Thread: Rhino 2 Byrce 3 | Forum: Bryce
TracyAnn Export out of Rhino3D as an obj. Select the smallest polycount that will accurately represent your mesh. Open the OBJ in UVMapper by Steve Cox. Save model out of UVMapper. Import this new OBJ into Bryce. UVMapper "fixes" something Bryce does not like. I have 8 save left in the Rhino demo ;-) smerc
