Could you make it a conforming figure, with only the hand body part conforming? You might have to do something extreme with the joint parameters, to prevent the hookshot from flexing with the hand. Maybe someone who's done more of this than me would have a better suggestion!

I ought to add! (Oops, sorry!) You can't port directly into Anim8tor from Poser, it throws up an error. You have to open the model in UVMapper (also free), save the model straight away with the default boxes checked, and THEN open it in Anim8tor. My bad. Very very bad. I do it automatically now and forgot it's needed. :(

I know it's frustrating not to be able to do what you can visualise immediately. The computer ought to be telepathic and work out what you want. ;) I've been using Anim8tor, though, and I started by working through the step-by-step tutorials, which were well illustrated and easy to follow if used together with the help text. It didn't show me how to make clothes, but it did show me how to use the modelling software, and it certainly handles Poser .obj files (although it runs slowly on a slow machine, and it's not easy-peasy to use). I'll admit Anim8tor isn't ideal, but it's free, and it's just not going to be possible to start working with a peice of modelling software and do exactly what you want first time without learning how to drive it first. Then, as Joerg says, there just isn't a program that will give you exportable poseable clothing. It's a complicated, time-consuming and often head-bashingly frustrating process. Sorry. :(

I'd be more interested to see average sales per month rather than absolute sales figures. It's probably a less sensitive figure to release as well. It would bias things towards recent releases that managed to catch a short-lived trend, though, so maybe an additional figure indicating how long it's been available might be good as well. I'd be curious to know what consitutes an average number of sales, of all the products in the marketplace.

There's a headcollar to go with it as well, although that's not in the pic.

As VampireWriter asked, there is a mane in the works- although so far it's no more than a forelock, and still needs a LOT of work. Depending on just how much work and how well it turns out it may end up in the Marketplace rather than in the Freebies.
There's also a feather prop for the heels in progress. I'll eventually do a tail as well. The next horse freebies are likely to be brushing boots (the front pair are in progress) and a summer sheet, with a driving harness somewhere on that 'to do' list as well.
No idea on exact timescale, as I'm also working on cat and lion Walk Designer sequences.

'Weld Vertices' didn't do a whole lot, but zooming right in and going through the mesh one poly at a time, merging every corner, seemed to tidy things up. :) Thank you again!

A short-hair seems the best 'generic' sort to go for. I don't mind as long as it's not so demanding on the system that the PC crashes on me, but please- don't forget the claws! Ears that can actually twist and lay flat properly would be wonderful, and nice eyes (eyes compatible with the various add-on eye props would be cool). Goodie, more cats to do walk cycles for. :) Thanks heaps for this, Anton!

Yes, that looks real, despite the seams. Not quite good enough for me to pay up to get V3 just so I can use it, but very nice indeed. :)

Here's the pic Steve sent, to add to his post above.

Thanks for sharing the tip, Dodger- a lot of useful detail in there. Perhaps you could post it as a mini-tutorial anywhere else, so it doesn't get lost in the depths of the forum?
Thread: Cat WalkDesign problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi Aharon,
The cat walk cycle for Walk Designer is in my freestuff. I'm currently converting the run animation into WalkDesigner-suitable form (just got to tweak it so its legs don't slide backwards and forwards along the path). The lion is also still in progress. I'll have the cat run and the lion walk up in freestuff just as soon as they're finished.
Thanks for the interest. :)

Steve Shanks fixed it for me (it managed to get scrambled on the way to Tony Vilters, who I'm sure would have been able to fix it too if he'd been able to open it!), and sent a pic showing what was wrong as well.
HUGE thanks to everyone who helped and who offered to help. Hopefully I can return the favour sometime. :)

The lion doesn't have quite the same body parts as the cat. I'm working on a walk cycle for that at the moment (it's not finished yet though), as you can see.
