I would render at 30fps save it in AVI and then in your movie editor you should be able to control the rendered scene speed in the movie eidtor I use adobe premiere and i can slow it own to 3 fps if i need to. Just a short cut I use for slow motion shots. :)

ou can download and use Adobe premiere cs2 which adobe is giving the whole suite away. you can place your graphics in the video editor in a series.Though I would convert them to JPG or PNg for small video wt size.

Thread: Viewing a series of .AVI movie clips | Forum: Animation
Quote - How do I arrange a playlist file and what suffix should be at the end of its name?
when i render my AVI scenes i save them in a file tree like this:
File(Name of movie)
>sub Folder- saved models scenes.
> Sub Folder - Saved AVI scene
> Sub folder - Sound files
>Sub Folder > Movie editer file.
Then in my Saved avi sub folder I save the AVI movies and name them like this
" Scene 01 - 3 seconds"
"Scene 02 - 12 seconds"
"Scene 03 - 5 seconds"
I save them and name them like this because of a couple of reasons . first is when i drop my video file into Adobe Premiere which is what i use my video eidtor it automaticly saves the avi files in order becauase I already named them in order starting with the name of the sceen #
Also adding the time leanth to the name of your Avi allow you to find it easier in the time line and lets you know what youe time frame your working with. So if you need to go back and edit or remake that animation over it will be easier to work around ,
also when you start putting your movie together its much easier if you have them all named in the series you'll need them. So if you name them with the sceen # first you will know where you are at in the movie timeline when your edting your flim
I hope that helps good luck

Try Audcity . http://www.sonicdownloads.net/download/Audio/Audacity/?f=inCAk0Xte&a=7378&adid=742700073
its free, it has a voice pitch changer and other effectd you can do with voices and sound. like echo and bass. so you can use your own voice in videos and manipulate the the pitch. Thats what I use instead of robot voice or electronic.sounds to me it sounds much better, those electronic voices sound so phoney..
when I can and i get a chance i try to use Kids to do the voices overs .. for some reason kids voices always sound better for characters. so when i need kids i call my teacher friend at the high school and she'll ask the kids for me in her class if anyone wants to do characters voices .. never a shortage of kids wanting to do cartooon voices. and now thats I have used kids from the high school a few times I also don't have a shortage of volenteers anymore when i need characters voices. :)
Thread: What is animation? duh | Forum: Animation
I think you have to look at the big picture when it comes to animation , even when it comes to short films
If you ever noticed that even Pixar and Dreamworks have a mass amount of people working for them creating full leanth and short animation films. they have Actors& actresses, direcotrs and storyboard artist. modelers, animators , lighting, sounds people etc. some of thier scenes & models even come from out side third party sources.
Animation production is , well a production..lol and a lot of effort to create a film people like, so when it comes to just one person creating animation you need to take from outside resources and buy models and such or spend 5 years making the film.
I think anyone can accomplish a good animation with any software if giving enough time and practice.
I can animate with daz and poser much better than in 3DS and Maya, But I can build models in 3DS and that is what I have practiced with. so really its what you are use to working with.
The trouble begins when showing your single person produced amature film to people who really know nothing about animation or what is involved to create it. they watch & Judge peoples films created with poser & Daz software and expect it to be the same quality results as a large studio company employing 100's of people. will millons in budget.
I've been creating animation for abouht 2 years with varing software and my thought is this, if I enjoy creating the film and its something i'm not ashamed to show my family then its a good enough for everyone else.
As you know everyone is a critic :)
Thread: split screen effect? | Forum: Animation
Hi mysticeagle : )
I do spilt scenes using Adobe Premiere with 2 finshed rendered scenes in overlaying tracks., and I know Sony vaga is very easy to accomplish this effect. with any movie scenes using the left right panal changes. so I think the easest way would be depending on the movie editor program your using. I know you can't do it wilth windows movie maker though. and doing it trough poser will use a lot of your computer CPU & memory resources. so if you have 6 or 8 gigs of ram you should be alright.. But for me I would create it in a movie editing program.
Good luck and please be sure you post your finsh film here so we can see the results :)
warm regards
Ivy

Quote - Most of them are "fashion shows", which don't take a lot of time to do. Just pose the model and do a fly around. Slow it down in post and you have it. And there are some which you can see the person didn't take a lot of time to do right. And I even saw one the other day where they didn't even render the thing. It was the preview mode, and you could see the lights and all. Oh well, I will keep doing things the way I do them. I am working on one right now that will be on YouTube in a few days. I will post the link here and in the Poser forum...
please do i love to see it.

Thread: Animation test | Forum: Animation
Quote - I have to agree. It's time consuming to get it right. And sometimes no matter what you do, there is still a small glitch here and there. But you work on something for several days, and when you show it to someone, it's like "that's it???"
Yes, that's it. But I have seen some amazing things done with DAZ and Poser that you wouldn't know were consumer grade software. And the movies that the Blender Foundation put out there, which was done almost entirely in Blender are simply amazing. If we keep at it, we can get some pretty good results from this "cheap" software.
Thank you for your comments and taking time to watch my animations.
I am hoping that in time no matter the software I am using I will be able to create quality animations. My biggest problem is the learning curve in the use of the software. Most of this "CHEAP" Software the animation part of it was a after thought. Most people use poser and daz just for still graphics having no idea what it takes to create a animation with it.
Poser and Daz is way more difficult to use for animation than the Pixar Marionette software and renderman render engines which was designed for animation creation.
Autodesk Maya is becoming much easier to use now that pixar has started also to use autodesk Maya for off site artist contributing to a project.
I am hoping as time passes and more people become involved in creating animation with poser and daz, that animation tools will improve and become a better software.
all software has to start somewhere.
if your interested in learning more about Pixar software which is now available to the public for API at a very hefty price you can follow this link :) http://renderman.pixar.com/view/renderman
Again thank you for your interest and comment on my animation :)
