Bloodsong I have some cats and dogs that I've done. Some photo - some painted. I have the bigface cat, lion and wolf so I'll put those on my to do list. Any chance you could take a stab at remapping Lemur's cathead people? the face is in four bits and is really awkward. Pendarion and Dragon Medeival/rennaisance/and hollywood fantasy. Maybe some elfquest type stuff. Some will be historically accurate, some will not. Planning on range from peasant to king. So ask for specifics if you have in mind. :) (like Kevin Sorbo's pants from Hercules or Nightshades tunic) But really wanted some basics - that can be used in many scenes. Dragon Skin textures? Ummm. I have a couple p4 I've made I can reverse engineer. Looking for something specific?

Had the same trouble with the downloads - my nifty download resumer told me the file is not there. Could be a translation error? I think it is a german site. Tried three different ways and got no viable file. If everyone had this prob we should tell the site owner so it can be fixed. BTW I use Netscape - so its not a browser thing I guess. Lyrra

I had actually made the texture for something else and just slapped it on this model. I liked it so much, I think I'm keeping it, so there will be two version of the texture - one with the technomage mods and one without. The eyes are straight from a photo, as is skintone. I think the original guy was hispanic of some flavour. I don't animate, but maybe someone will animate him once I release the texture. Even on a regular poser face the texture looks great. Thanks for the comments.

Its here on poser freestuff - search under utilities. I just checked and it came up as number 13. Works on any obj as far as I've found. It only reads existing UV coordinates - so if they need to be mapped or remapped you need UVmapper too. Really really simple too. good luck, lyrra

When I'm done with the texture maps I'll import the models into bryce and render the whole thing there. I just didn't feel like doing that much work for a test run. :) I plan on a series of images - in the room you see (his garden/workshop), in space, in a spaceship corridor and at the Crossraods. Some portait shots, some action, possibly a fight scene. The hood should be deeper, and I need to add serious texture and bump maps to the coat. But when I just came back into this page and he loaded in he looked great. :) And yeah - I'll be releasing the textures and materials I've made when I'm done. Sometimes that deep materials editor is like voodoo. I use Getcoltex to get uv templates. That gives me colored mesh so I can match bits easier. And UVMapper bombs on my system anyway. :) As for darkness - my other systems seems to be a lot lighter than this one. I could actually see the collar of the coat there. I need to recalibrate my monitors again. thanks for the comments, Lyrra
Thread: Suggestions needed for Bryce fishtank | Forum: Bryce
two new fish were just posted here in the poser section. Then there's the fish and dolphin that come with poser. Then slope over to Poserworld, I think they have one or two. Somewhere I found a beluga, a seal and a starfish. That's geting to be a quite busy aquarium. 3D cafe has a great shark (although dxf) and I found a snail a long time ago on Serius (sp?) games. Some plants from Bryce, and some from PlantStudio. I think its shaping up fairlyu well. Oh and thanks Nic, I'd managed to entirely forget about those ghastly foil backgrounds. Now I have to make one! :) I may sink the Enterprise :) that would be a nice change. And maybe stick Davos monster thingy in it :) Well, I have to go make dinner now. Stuffed shells with fresh sauce in case you were wondering. :) Be back later tonite, Lyrra

I've been searching for allies (alleriuah? something like) hair for a while. where can I find it? It's the nicest hair I've seen. Not much for the 'helmet' cut in nene's hair I'm afraid. thanks, Lyrra
Thread: Making Spiral stairs | Forum: Bryce
Oooh. Macbeth that's a great shot. More in that series around? :) Nice tapestry. I just had a chat with an historian who tells me that the Normans used stone stairs in towers and the towers were relativly narrow so the stairs almost filled it. They also have a heavy rope handrail along the outside wall held by iron eyepin like things and sometimes by stone ones. The steps are fairly wedge shaped, so I think back to my terrains. I don't fell like haveing each step booleaned. Trying to keep the object count down to a dull roar. As for interior steps the first flight up was almost always wood (so it could be burned or chopped away) and the risers were different heights to make it harder to climb them. Clever. Terrains again - don't have to worry about getting the heights exact too! The baumgarten site was the one I was thinking of. Thanks! And the multireplication thing shuld do the trick. Thanks guys, Lyrra

I wasn't sure if they would remap or not. I will try the color one. Just picked up a book, "Photoshop 5 3D Textures" by Geoffrey Smith. Title says it all really. :) Up to Chap 4 already - just discussing texture types now. Intermediate photoshop stuff so far - nothing enlightening yet. But it seems to be a good starter for me. Does anyone know of a good source for flower pictures - not roses, sunflowers or pansies? Or leaves not ivy? About the Obj's - I never throw stuff away if it's useful That's what zipdiscs are for. I'm a bit of a packrat when it comes to digital images. :) I still have clipart from WordPerfect 3.1 On a side note - how much trouble will I get in if I sample textures from Michael Whelan's "Summer Queen"? (copyrighted published image) Lots I expect :( What's the legalities on that? like music sampling? There's a bit on the collar that I really want to use. I may just go for 'look&feel'

Unfortunatly my actual physical CDS are gone. An ex-roommate made off with them. I'd rather not remap the clothes - I'd like to be able to distribute them without having to worry about which version of which model to use. I can never remember:) Also UVmapper tends to crash my system. (some sort of bizarre conflict in there. I hate windows) I've already guess-mapped the formal gown so I may just keep doing that. Thanks!
Thread: City 5-Stage 2-Opinions Please | Forum: Bryce
Is just me or does it remind anyone else of Simcity? :) Which means you need to add one of those 1950's all-nite burger bars. Can I put in an advance request for a medeival/rennaisance city? I can't find one - I'm having trouble making one - and I can't afford to buy one :( SO I figured I'd ask the city builder :) It's getting me seriously stuck on one picture which is getting me too frustrated to work on anything else.

I have a good quality scanned photo of Wharf (sp?) and Dax in their wedding outfits if anyone wants a copy. Thinking about it myself but I've got a heap of animal skins I'm working on. Cool Klingon texture! :)
Thread: Male Texture Project: Re-opened | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Finally! After digging around I've found only 6 poser male textures out there - and about 50 female. Do I get the feeling that there are a lot of heterosexual male poser modelers out there? ;) thanks for the tip about the head proportions, I have three textures I'm working on myself and I'll try those mods on the figure to see if they look better. Can hardly be worse :)

Don't get HP anything except printers. B&W printers at that:) USB or SCSI is the way to go with burners and scanners - but I have mucho zipdisks piled up around me so my zipdrive is here to stay. A zip disk question - anyone else have both a 100 and a 250? my 250 occaisonally decides the 100's are unformatted (grrrr) The only fix so far is to reinstall the dratted thing. Now on my 2nd zip of DL poser stuff. :)
