Thanks a bunch Ghostofmacbeth! I'll try to do a male head morph this weekend... and a couple minor variations of the female morph. I think if it all works out it will be a very nice set of hair.

You guys are kind. I'll keep pluging away on the texture map til someone offers one better. If I get something decent together I'll zip it with a slightly smoothed out mesh and post them in Free Stuff.

Hi. Don't know anything about this but was reading the "manual" for Morph Mover today and it explained how the program could be used to consoldate many morphs into a single morph to conserve memory.

Great, thank you bloodsong, just what I needed. It actually took me a while to figure out that a UVmap was a texture template, I'm new to all this 3D stuff. I'll have to check Bushi's site for the morph squoosher, I've been stripping my morph targets in Wordpad, ugh. But what is a phi? Other utilitiess I'm wondering about are Speedbump, Poser Loader and Poser Extractor. Thanks.

The mohawk on the thumbnail to my "no eyebrows" morph was done by x-scaling one of the standard hairs. You can get some other punk effects by combining the the scaling and trans with scaled male hair to get the short hair with long locks in front and for two toned looks. You take the one of the Poser hairs you want to use and export it as a Wavefront .obj, then you can import it back in to Poser and superimpose it on a second hair added to the figure. And look at Traveler's Male to Female hair conversions.

I have made some punk girl hair by y-axis transformation and/or y-axis scaling to place most of the hair inside the figures head with just locks emerging... for locks in front I have y-axis rotated the longer back over to the front side. I haven't tried this, but maybe if you used the Zgote posable curls hair that comes as a "prop" in P4 you could unclick "visible" in the properties of some of the elements of which it is composed. BTW I have a shaved "no eyebrows" morph up in Free Stuff, just dial in the morph and set the eyebrow to fleshtone in Render/Materials.

Hi. Thank you for making and sharing the hair, and it is nice too that you remeber us with slow connections and didn't make the packages too big. I won't have a chance to try your hair out until I get home from the office but I do really aprciate new hair for the Poser female that shows her ears!

I really respect you guys doing this forum. I really apreciate it. You do need to slow down and bring more people on... you do need to have time/energy left for you loved ones in the "real world". I am one of those guilty of "taking my ball and going home" (I had a popular painting technique site that I pulled the plug on because I felt under appreciated, I regret that now for a variety of reasons). I respect that you have never made that threat that I know of. Keep up the fight to keep going and forget about the a_holes, they aren't worth worrying about. The work you have done and are doing has great value to the silent majority, both as a resourse, for the free stuff, for the advise, and for setting a standard in art to aspire to. I wish you and the artists luck on the Store. I'm afraid it won't pay the bills though, for g_ds sake Amazon.com has yet to show a profit. I think that hosting vanity galleries may be a good idea, there are suckers paying big money to get a couple images of conventional paintings up on the net and that is for URL that get no traffic. But I do wish you luck with the store, plus its an opportunity for people to buy and sell at a range of prices which is something a traditional retailer can't offer. Well, sorry to take your time, but I really want to thank a bunch of people who give so much but choose to remain in the background rather than try to glorify themselves. dan modotti
Thread: Vicky....Or maybe we should call her Barbie 2!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Wow! I'm half afraid to butt in on this thread. I agree with everybody. A big problem I think is the misaprehension that every piece of software and every dot.com means big money. 1. When you can't afford a product it is easy to think that the people who can are driving up the price but not realize that the company might actually sell the product cheaper if they could afford to (though I do think for every licensed $600 copy of Photoshop there must be 6 illegal users who would have bought it legitimatly for $100). Some of the greatest software ever has been a bust for the company that produced it (Aprentice by Delta Toa for instance), the costs of software development can be staggering. 2. When you see an endevor like this forum that doesn't constantly beg for donations its hard to remeber all the disk space and bandwidth that must be paid for and thousands of hours which must be donated. You see the privledge of an open community unfettered by censorship and are afraid commerce will currupt it... but still, is the shop worse than banners? The bills do have to be paid, and if the people making the forum happen have demonstrated thier integrety in the past, give them a fair chance to prove they can maintain it even when comerce is introduced. 3. Most things on the web don't make money, we should ALL be happy if the Shop succedes in contributing some to the cost of maintaining this site and brings just a little finacial renumeration to those people who have already contributed so much. 4. Please excuse my aweful spelling. 5. Please, don't be mad at me anyone, I'm such a nice guy ;)

I don't have Vicky but I can say that Traveler's MTs are worth at least six times as much and he's given them away! For that matter Eve totally rocks... I can't imagine Vicky is better. Anyway, my discretionary funds cut off is about $40 personally. Thank goodness for Compose, UVmapper, Traveler Morphs, and all the other Free Stuff that make do-it-yourself Poser possible.

My preferance would be for the head band for instance to be incorporated. My preference is "everyday" as opposed to "fashion" hair styles, most woman I see around these parts used head bands or barettes at work and in leisure. But the personal issue for me is I think woman are much prettier when you can see thier ears and right now I use Traveler's male2female hair conversions which are great but still I would love other short and mid-length woman's hair that shows the ears.
