Fantastic, just what I was looking for! I should have thought of Ockham first ;-) Thanks!

Thread: Poser5 --- weird ! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This happened to me with Poser 5. It saved it into the PZ3 even after deleting it in the material room. I ended up opening the .pz3 file in Wordpad, searching on the .jpg name and killing the lines in which it appeared (I think it was in there twice.) Then saved the file as a different name just in case I totally killed the .pz3, LOL. It got rid of the pic, but the window was still too large, I couldn't be bothered to go back in and fix that though. The other thing that would fix it is to create a 6x6px .jpg or .gif in a colour to match your background and import that as a new background, but obviously don't change the window size when it offers.

Go to the "Change Parent" box and select Universe, that should do the trick.

You might want to have a look at RDNA's free section. They have loads and loads of light sets which I find incredibly helpful (as I find Poser lighting very restrictive and a pain to work with.)"you are terrifying

On first sight I found this quite a confusing picture but some elements are starting to appeal. The trees (from photos, I'm guessing?) look painted on and that's actually good for that surrealistic look. However, I'd look for some source photos with a light-source which more closely matches your pic (or change the lighting of the pic). The mixture of flat and 3D actually gives a subtle undercurrent of the guy's mental state, like he's half not-there. You might want to rotate the camera around a bit because I think that's where the problem with the girl's arm is - I think she's actually a good couple of yards forward of the guy. Once this is fixed, it should also solve some of the size discrepancies. The syringe looks too big for the guy's hand, or again it may be misplaced in the scene. It may be due to the lighting, but I'm having trouble seeing what's happening with the guy's legs, and that's also not helping the size ratio problem. I'd lose the pigeon on the grass, he looks a bit odd, but keep the others. (The one on the back of the bench is very good.) Maybe in postwork you can add a bit of a diffuse glow around them and that would also add to the surrealism of this. The girl's hair may need some adjustment, it looks like the transmap on the top part of her hair isn't applied right. Last but not least, I'd look for a background photo of a moody, overcast, but not night-time sky. Because as someone else mentioned, birds (and little girls) don't come out at night. ;-) I think you have the makings of a nice piece here, and hope I haven't offended. I'm no expert myself and pick up most of what I learn from hanging around in here!

If he looks less burly than M2, I'm all for it. I find it very difficult to make Mike into a slim guy with his built-in morphs.

Thread: Running 2 instances of Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's very annoying, but with the amount of software piracy that goes on, I suppose it's understandable. Mind you, if I tried to open another instance of Poser while one copy was rendering, my whole machine would probably lock up anyway, LOL

Thread: too controversial? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes, the swastika on her armband is reversed, the ones on her epaulettes are correct. The lightning flashes on her lapels don't look quite right for some reason. AFAIK the German army did not have females although there were female warders in the camps. The image as it stands - yes it could be offensive to about half the world I think. I would suggest posting it at Renderotica.com instead, as you've got a strong sexual/fetish theme coming through there.

There's a bullwhip at Daz, or a free laser whip at RDNA.
