You can achieve similar effects to the Sketch Design Presets in photo and paint programs. But you gotta have the software, the HD space, the RAM, the time, and the know-how for all the other programs. If you are a Poser Purist, by aesthetic or economic choice, these Preset Styles are the way to go. Try importing an actual photo into a New Window, no Ground, no Actor. Allow P4 to resize window to fit. Sketch Render over the photo. Think of the possibilities.

ookami- Enjoying seeing your rendering work. Nice images to begin with. When using black and white render styles, try bringing up the Color Blend slider value (at the bottom) a little at a time for interesting results. Read the Turorial on how to save new styles. Good luck with your rendering! 3Don
Thread: A little question on wireframe rendering.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Try making a one frame animation, which I think will let you choose Display Style to render. Also think you can set resolution.

POSER PALS- I know all the links are not yet fully charged. They will be in a day or two. There will be a free tutorial to DL for the Sketch Renders. There are more than 80 settings that can be made for each Preset style! So Each style requires a lotta dialing. I will have some other image renders at my site too, other than the Posette samples. Check back Mon. or Tues. 3Don

They are still sold at 3D Commune. Go to my web site and follow the 3D Commune link to the poses. You will find A-Z and all the numerals. There's an image of all the poses. Hope you enjoy. Email me with any images you create if you'd like. 3DonThread: Our own vs Downloaded | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Look at it this way... Whether the models, textures, poses, etc. come from the Poser program or from revision work of other peole, none of it is "original." All are based on Poser/Zygote originals. What is Original is the image, which is yours. The electronic Poser (etc.) stuff is like paints, canvas, etc. They are Raw Materials for Artistic Creation. Microsoft does not own a document you make with their software. Adobe does not own an image you create. Just as Grumbacher does not own an image you create with their oil paints. You can publish the image as original and as yours. It is not cheating or copying in that sense. How many people can or do mix up their own oil paints, or make their own pastels from scratch? How many can create a Poser program like Larry Weinberg? These things are tools and raw materials. Feel free to create. I have posted at my website commissioned illustration work which features Poser figures and prop models. It is my work and I am free to post the images without anyone's permission. Relax and keep on Posering! 3DonThread: Free lights at new site and Sketch Renders coming | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Try the Ghastley Poser Page for some good colonial clothes. The site is linked somewhere in the web ring.
Thread: Mac to PC? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
MartinC has a Mac to PC and PC to Mac utiity, recently updated somewhere on this site , or at his Rabbit Hole site. It is freeware. I have used it (on a Mac) to convert all types of Poser PC files to Mac with an easy drag and drop operation. It is quick and efficient. Likewise, you can convert Mac to PC by resetting the preferences. Copy the utility and have one set up each way. It is not a large program, but very useful. I think it can only be used on a Mac. -3Don

See if you can backtrack a few days here and find my post with image of Poser-only Sketch Render style. I am finding that this feature has a LOT more potential than most Poser posers realize.

When you do get all those guns you can find 40 Shootist poses for quick-draw, sniper, duelist, blackpowder, subguns, etc. etc. at the 3D Commune Store. Look under my name.
