If the bridle is not connected to the harness, then it should not be that difficult, just conform the harness to the reindeer and the rest as I said should not be that bad the IK chain use for Santas hands then adjust the bridle at the other end. Unless the bridle is wrapped around the reindeers face, unwhich use IK chain it to the raindeer. This porcess is slower to describe than it is to physicaly do. Little tricks like this get you by when all the other availabe remidies don't work.

I'm not exactly sure when you say when the raindeer move the bridle moves and you don't want it to. Is the movement you are talking about a sanding in place movement, or are they moving up and down and forward as though it is flying. or running in place then here is my sugguestions. 1st, does your bridle itself morph so it can be bent back into Santas hands. just morph the bridle!(I guess the answer must be no). The sencond is a little more involved. something I don't know is, are the bridle seperate or of one piece.(attached to he harness.) The reason I ask that is the same process will be used either way, but it can be done more realisticly it the bridle is seperate.(if seperate conform only the harness)don't conform the bridle to the riendeer.(or if the bridle and harness are combined as a single unit). What you will do is first get the motion you want from your reindeers, then after your satisfied with their movement. Next place your bridle (and harness if attached) so it fits to your reindeer but again don't conform, use Break Spline after good placement. Next go to your reindeers next extream motion. Again line up the reindeers bridle to the reinedeer and santas hands, use Break Spline again. From here it's possible that you will have to tweek some motion flaws between the first pose and the first extreme motion of the harness. This is repeated between each motion sequence. I suggest you keep the randeers motion with just a basic movement(no turning the body and such) I know you will have to do the same for each raindeer, but a way around that being complicated is, After you have your raindeers with the same motion, save each pose of your bridle between each extream motion(and any Tweeks)in your use your pose dots. From there you will just have to use each raindeers bridle and their pose dots. Sence the raindeer are using the same poses. the bridle should line up much easier by just move the bridle left right front or back where ever the raindeer are in relation to the bridle and line up. I know this seams like a lot of work but I use this in situations when I have to and there are no other answers. A MORPHING BRIDLE WOULD BE MUCH EASIER!
Thread: Changing Poser Version Number | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What I had did was copy and paste the files to be sent into a differnd folder marked to Zip out. In those files I changed the PZ2 files from 4.2 to 4.1. That left my orginal files in Poser in their proper state. Thanks all. Actually the process is very easy once you know what to look for. I never got into the files like that before.

Thanks a lot, This is something I've never tried before. You have to do it once before you know what your doing.

Thread: saving a Big file. | Forum: Photoshop
Well I'm done with the Big Map, if I ever would need it again I could re-scan it again, but why waist the space. The problem I now have is when I try to delete it out of the Recycle Ben it says Cannot delete, it's being used by another person or program. Close any program that might be using it and try again. I havd no programs on right know. I'm starting to get a big file of items I can't delete. anyone run into that problem, what's the answer? I can't figure it out.
Thread: Making a Movie With Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Bauhaus Mirage, that sound like a great product, I've never heard of it before, I looked over the info, It looks like it does what After Effects only a lot more simple to use with more effects. Will it Editing a movie from start to finish? or just copositioning spectial effects. The info I couldn't find anything spicific on Editing. It sounds like if it does Editing along with everything else it does. It can't be touched as far as an all in one package.

I have edited my Movie as I was making it. I like to think of it as making the movie flow together. If you have a storyboard layed out you shouldn't get lost. But when you edit as you go. you can see any flow problems, aside from any other things you may not like. Bad editing can destroy a good piece of art. But You must get the flow of the movie form one scene to the next so you don't notice the change (That's why I like to edit as I go) unless that quick change is to be intentionaly for effect. Also I as you say, This gives me encourgement to see a scene all put together with voices sound and music. Makes all the hard work seem worthwhile. I think if your scripting the movie good in the first place, Editing as you go can save a lot of potential problems that you only see after you have it all put together. The Traditional way of editing was established becase you have one person animating, another person making backgrounds and another editing among other things. With the new features in the Animation world (with the all in one studio - YOU!) you can work with what you feel most confortable with. Another thing if you watch a movie you will notice that most of the scenes are about 5 to 8 seconds long. This keeps the movie moving. The longer scenes are usually to set up for something that is needed to expalain the next event. Also, don't be afraid to use just the head and shoulder shots, they are and can be very effective. and a big time saver. Also, Sometimes I use the head and sholder shot as a person is walking, not worrying if the feet are correct, because they don't show it that sequence. There are so many tricks, and a lot more to be developed by you the individual.

I don't know where you want to start, and I really haven't paid much attention on Tuts. on making a movie. I have made a short movie 8 minutes long, along with some short skits. I did the script, the animation, the editing, and the voices with some special effects in the voice, and O yes unless you are doing a silent movie you would be wise to get Mimic at DAZ. Then you need backgound music, and sound effects, Backgrounds of somekind. either made with things you can utlize with in Poser or Some background shots, or if you have a landscape program Like Vue, or Bryce, then you can make most any kind of backgroud. Last but by no means least, an Editing Program. I have Adobie Preimere, there are other edititing programs that can do a good enough job, depending on what you are wanting to do. Since you left the whole playing field open, 1st write a script with all your charatures, give them their own personality traits. use story boards. I don't know how far you want to go with this, but when you are ready to start animating. Don't start anti-aliasing untill you made the complete move and test the flow. ( A major problem you won't like is it take about an hour for about 10 second when you Alias the movie. Mostly depends on how sophistacated your charatures are, and the number of Items you have in the scene. the more the slower) Another Very important thing you need to do is Organize each Scene. (I don't know how much expirece you have, but a scene is not a guy running 90 steps then your into the next scene) What I do is have a folder for each scene. I lable them Scene 1, in Scene 1s folder I save Audio files, which can be music, sound effects, and each charitures voice. I then have the animation itself you can number it as simple as you like, 1, 2, 3, as long as you know your system. I also keep the preliminry animation and edit the whole movie. Why? because if you don't have good movement in a scene it will look like crap. I know I've had to edit some of my crap! So Save Those files because you never know when you might want to change the animation a little, then you would have to redo the voice again. You can get some free special effect stuff on the internet. if you need some sound effects try, http://www.grsites.com/sounds There are others also or you can by them. I make a lot of my own. Walking down an alley on cobble stone. You find something that sounds like walking in an alley by expiermenting with different things in the house. I can't rember what I used off hand, but when I applied it, and added a little reverb. It sounded just right. Well, this is what your up against. There is more, but this will get you at least moving in the right direction. Now I hope you aren't going to say. How do you make a guy walk. that's a long way from a movie! That is a different question which you can find in your Poser Book.

Well I figured this out, at least with my needs. I first scanned a map. then made cropmarks for positioning. From there I copied and pasted each overlay on another master document. I worked with RGB colors to save space. I ended up with seven overlays. When completed I flattened the artwork after checking over the map 3 or 4 times to make sure everything is correct. I got rid of the Original map that I used as a guide at that point. After flatting the overlays, I then Grouped everything and locked the Map on the first overlay again. I am using the second overlay so I can make it interactive with the map below. When I was working with the map when I asked for help, I was saving everything. I'm still not sure why such a big file the first time, unless it was because I was using the scanned map, and overlays, which caused large file. (crossing a RGB and 4 color map canceled out what I was trying to cut down on?) Well everything on this map is done and looks really good. I cut my old file of 235 MB before it wouldn't let me save anymore, down to 1.39 MB. with a lot more info that when the old map wouldn't take anymore. Now I have one more map to do the same way. It's a little smaller map but I know how to go about it. I might be missing out on some stuff. I haven't worked with embedding and linking files. Hey if anyone knows something that I just discribed that can be done a better way, I'm all ears.

So Pro Pack should be in the Curious Labs folder, that is what I thought, That is the way I thought it was set up with the other Computer I had. The Poser 4 MeteCreation was bought in 1998. So that must be the older program. Thanks
Thread: Missing Camera Controls dropdown Arrow | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I didn't have my camera controls to close to the top, so I don't know what caused the problem, but as soon as I wrote the message I thought of the General Preferences and tried that. That cleared it up. I tried restarted my computer before I posted my message, sometimes that will unbug a problem. but that didn't work either. Thanks, lesbentley, I was under the gun, and I'm glad I got it fixed. Brint

I placed 3 walls up and left off the forth so the camera could have no obsticals in its way. The camera does follow the chariture but just turns as it follows the charitures walk. There is something within Poser causing this I'm sure. This is holding up my animation. I've tried every thing I could think of, including different lighting. Reset the Props in place form scratch, including Spot lights. As far as your background Animation behind Poser. My guess is that you rendered Bryce at a different ratio than what you rendered Your poser forground scene. Another solution might be if you have After Effects. That is the best way to handle layered Animations for a lot of reasons. Not nessacary the fastest way though.
