And you can always come to an agreement with the merchant that from the first money you gain you'll buy her/his used product no? Or start a joint-venture with your aunt?

This is a very beautiful story. I read in in my words, which are not yours, but the essence is the same. Thanks for sharing!

I guess that silo has some advantages right now. $110 and a free upgrade to silo2. With very impressive topology and displacement brushes, uv paint etc. The most impressive uvtools now come from Modo, but it is a bit expensive (some$700) Anyway there the workflow on one hand, and you will always have to get used to that, but here's experience on the other hand. And when you have an idea what 3D is after using free Wings or a demo, another choice will always be quicker to learn. The first steps in 3D are the hardest.

http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=233 can't guarantee this is the solution, but you can ask Chris whether his texture extractor can handle this problem.

They should warn in your shopping card also.
A better method would be that after, say, ten purchases, you get a coupon of 10% on the amount of your purchases. Or something like: "hey, we noticed you spent $500 here at our marketplace. Therefore you get a coupon for $50. Thanks for buying here at R."

I browse with Firefox. There is an option in prefs that gives me the choice to play/open or not. When I choose not to play, I get the download dialog.

Thread: For the Merchants...and RENdO...you should be grateful- | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I don't suppose anyone has dld anything from my purchases list up to now. I do have probs with R. about mySQL toomany connections etc, but that's something else. Question is that if someone warns merchants about this, and these complain to the Rstaff, this person gets a rather nasty mail and risks to be banned (and what about your right to redownload your purchases? you can get banned from the forum and the galleries, but you do have the right to request a new download, no?). It is bizarre as I never had any unfriendly or unhelpful contact with any merchant I im'd. Anyways: I wouldn't even know whether someone dld from my account. And I now know it's better to let possible thieves go their way.

Thread: Victoria 2 Textures | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Of course I don't know them all, but there are still Dalinise's Carly, Blackhearted's Elowen and Shredboy also still sells V2 characters. Of him I have Laini.
Then there are SteffyZZ's characters who have been a real rage here (and perhaps still are): Noa, Asia, Yuma...
Don't forget that you can use all textures for PT (milkids preteen) also for V2. Some of these are grown-up characters.
Here, Thorne is a big name. {If he shouldn't be here anymore, you can visit faerie-dreams.com). Blackhearted has his Nia.
Over at Daz you may still find Zrincx's Goddess texture map for V2. Very good also.
If it's for textures, the Universal Texture Creator (evt with plugins for other characters) is a good investment.

Thread: AMD vs INTEL | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ditto here. I build myself and chose for a Zalman cooler for my PIV because it was too noisy. My Radeon 9800 has passive cooling. I have friends using AMD and I know of no problems. They don't care about the noise. So once again it's a question of personal preferences.

Wow...this is more than impressive. Meanwhile I bought WW. I guess I'll try and take a look at this Yahoo group. Good info, all of you. So Umutov's long legs are ok, but a head at 103% not. Good to know. This should, in fact, be part of Poser. Just like Universal Texture Converter, a kind of browser and a good file manager. Thanks all!

They're all clones, but don't mix them up. Luckily, the new kids are usually referred to by their names Luke and Laura., making things easier. Untill, of course, you get Sandra for Laura wearing the texture (skin) from Betty for Stephanie Petite. ehhh... Perhaps Sarsa and Thorne (faerie-dreams.com) are best known for their PT characters (PT, pre-teen is the younger version of Victoria2). If you ever want to use them and upload images here, please read the child-images rules. A long, long-time member has been banned for her faeries pics that showed too many skin-coloured pixels.

Thread: Problem with V3 collar/breast area | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The whole shoulder area is as bad as a lame duck. But, as an excuse, it must be said that it's a very, *very$ complicated joint area. And Poser's joint handling is a bit outdated. Normally, the breast should be fatty tissue on the pectoralis major muscle. The part of this muscle that comes from the breastbone/ribs should go under the deltoid (shoulder cap), whilst the part that comes from the collar bone (clavicle) should cross the fibres of the first part. The breast should move with the arm stretching upwards and react to gravity (softbodies. pun intended) And then there are other muscles, many of them. And the scapula bone. The crease of the arm/breast is far too high, so I always have to smile when people talk about realism. Just think about all the movements a shoulder girdle can perform. It is only fixed by one small skeletal joint, namely where the collarbone joints the breastbone, all the rest are muscles! try to imitate this in a 3D mesh without having weightmaps etc, and you'll get problems like the one you noticed.

I'm glad it goes to London. Perhaps the hotels will now be checked on quality (and lice, fleas,...). And London is better suited as British Museum still has the stolen Elgin marbles from the Parthenon. (Parthenon>Greece>Olympics...get it?) As for Chirac: well, nowhere in the world you get sandwiches of the quality you get in London. Or beer. Or Elephants and Castles (the "Infante of Castilia" was translated by Londoners into "Elephant and castle") Besides: in London people speak a kind of American dialect most USsians will be able to understand. Parents do not obey their children like they do in the States, but generally speaking the situation will be more comfortable than Paris.
