Thread: OT? Runtimedna mergine with DAZ. Will they still support Poser? | Forum: Community Center
wheatpenny posted at 9:04AM Tue, 08 March 2016 - #4259847
I'm also one of those Daz-Poser users. I have always used whatever tool I needed to get the job done. When I was using 3dsMax, people asked me why I still used Bryce and Poser when I had Max. I told them I use whatever will give me the desired result with the least amount of hassle.
Agreed. I use whatever works and if it's going to be Daz, then so be it. A tool is a tool, it's the end result that matters.

Thread: Members Are Asking The Same Question, | Forum: Community Center
Creating a responsive layout that works across the board is not easy, I know this all too well as I'm in the process of revamping some of my clients' sites and my own. That being said, I make sure each site works as close to perfect as is humanly possible in both mobile devices and desktops before I flip it over. When designing a site like this the needs of the users really are the most important aspect of any redesign. I'm all for change, I'm all for using the latest techniques that actually work. Design fads come and go and I avoid them like the plague.
But I think it is fair to say that no one on this site is going to be creating 3d renders using their mobile phones. Sure, they might glance at new stuff while at work, but a lot of your users are going to be using laptops and desktops when it comes to downloading and buying. I think the new design has a lot of potential but clearly there are issues that need to be ironed out. Hopefully, this will get done sooner rather than later.

Thread: OT Lost 2 years of poserprojects and content by computerscammers | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
One of the many reasons I no longer answer calls from numbers I do not know, and then block the number after I refuse the call. I'm sorry this happened to you. I hope you can at least restore the applications and the content.

Try removing ray-trace from the wings. That solved the issues I had with them some time ago.

Thread: Figure Bashing Making Me Regret 3D Art | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Strangely I have never looked at things in this way. It’s not about “tech” for me so much as it is about art. To be honest, I use what works, I do not care about the tech behind a particular model. The only time I upgrade my programs is when some changes or new “tech” truly makes it worth my time to upgrade. And Vue is usually the program upgraded before any others.
As far as figures go, I use what I feel like or what I need to, and I do not give a rat’s butt about why I should or should not use a specific model according to those “in the know.” Opinions are like (oh you know) and everybody is entitled to theirs.
Maybe instead of being guided by other people’s opinions, you should just do what you do with 3D art because you enjoy it. Who really cares about who says this or thinks that? In the end, all that really matters is your enjoyment of your hobby.

Thread: Organizing question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have my runtimes organized by category, such as :
Animals
Animal Textures
Animals Fantasy
Architecure
Fantasy Architecture
etc., and so on. I have 32 runtimes all total on my external HD. I did give DM thier own runtime since I have so much stuff from them. I split A3, A4, H3, H4 into 2 runtimes and gave V3, M3, V4, M4 their own runtimes as well as their clothing. It works for me very well, I can find things very easily.
