I seen a few posts by him at PoserPros recently, so that might be the best place to attempt contact.

Tried that and couldnt find a link. Tried the interface and tools forum and the links posted there were either dead or denied me access. chuckle So I made a regular post in the Interface & Tool forum.

Poserfasion had some good tuts on making dynamic clothes.
Triangles if I remember correctly seemed to work better for the cloth room.
If poser fasion is still alive, check it out and see if the tips help.
However tearing as you described it may also be due to the dynamic settings in Poser. Its been quite some time sicne Ive used the cloth room so I cant remember which settigns can cause it. Crud I know thats no use to you. :-(
Maybe I can get some free time this weekend to check those settings.

Ask away. I cant garuntee I have an answer but Ill try to return the help youve given me in wings. Im interested in gettign your opion of Blenders modeling system. LOL I find it vastly different from Wings. The whole manifold vs. non-manifold modeling is often an annoyance for me.

Welcome baz. Nice seeing ya here.
Blender and Wings are a nice couple. Most of the time.
As for the materials. I suggest you sign on to Elysium.com and look up some of Greybeards tutorials. The one he did on LCSM is quite good. I hope it will answer most of your questions.
As for selecting. I think you can select one vert for each section youve marked off and then hit Ctrl+L and it will select the whole section for ya.
On the materials and groups out of wings. In wings Go to you Export Options and deselect the "One Group Per Material". see if that helps.

Thread: Connect tool? | Forum: Blender
LOL Nope actually I cant.
Lets say youre in Blender. You select 2 edges. You hit K for the Knife and select the Midpoints version. You draw your lil line and hit enter.
At that point Blender makes the edge you wanted but it also makes EXTRA edges all around that cut area. What I call supporting edges.
What I want is just ONE edge, connecting the 2 I selected. None of this extra stuff.
Ah well, Im guessing it cant be done due to the way the modeling system is coded.

Ok, yes you can select only TWO verts and hit FKey. It creates a new edge between those two verts. (tuhopuu3)
What I want to know is if its possible to do the same thing with edges.
As in select 2 edges, hit a hotkey and bam you have a new edge connecting the midpoints of the previous 2 edges.
Thread: Poser textures | Forum: Blender
Sil.
As long as the textures are Image based UV mapped textures, yes you can use them in Blender.
Thread: Poser textures | Forum: Blender
depends on which type youre talking about.
Image based UV mapped textures, yeah sure no problem. Just set it up in blenders material room.
example: in mat room. click add new texture. name it. select map input>UV. select map to>col.
Click the texture button (f6). select Image from the type drop down. Click Load Image and use the file requestor to find your image map.
Poser5 procedural textures? No. at least not that I know of. A python would have to be writtin to do that I think.

Well crud. LOL Youre correct.
Dont think I even noticed the Edit section there.
Got used to thinking of Space as the Add menu.
chuckle
But hey like I said in post

Hrmmmm...ok. That doesnt really explain the issue it was having with the house model does it? Hrmmmm.... ah well. I know how to solve the issue on my end so I guess the problem is at least practically solved.
Bill: Thanks. I have rhino. I try to avoid tris in my meshes except for poser dynamic clothes.
