Block out the big moves then go back the tweak the tweens. I'd start with just working with one figure and get it to look like you want.. then add the other figure.
Pose your figure and then move the number of frames your punch will take and create the pose at that frame. Just remember that the hip is where the motion starts and work from there.

Quote - so nothing happened about a tutorial after august 2 years ago??
Just create some magnets and deform the area you want deformed... then parent the mag zones to the body parts of the figure that need to deform the prop. You need to adjust the size of the mag zones.
When the body part is not close to the object it will not be deformed. The mesh you are deforming must be dense enough for it to deform in a decent manner.

Thread: Is there an easier way to climb stairs using keyframes | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - I will have to try that as it is taking me days to get the freak up the stairs.
I think you need to use the elevator:)
My V3 walking up the circluar stairway is 489 frames.. I only have keyframes where I need them. The basic steps are like 15 to 18 frames with the tweaks between them.

Thanks... I hate the idea of buying that set for just the hair, but I'm sure that's what I'll do:)

I haven't found an easier way yet than to block out each step then go back and tweak the frames between. I used IK while I blocked out each step then turned it off to tweak the in between frames. You will probably have to go through and tweak it a couple of times.
I'm working on one with V3 walking up a spiral staircase. Why I ever decided I needed a spiral staircase is beyond me, but if I change the staircase I need to remodel about half of the resort I've modeled:)
It's flat out time consuming and will wear on your patience, but I guess that's why they call it animation:)

Thread: western style bridle for Mill Horse???? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - You ride Western with both reins in one hand - never two hands. English is two hands. I know because I have shown both for years.
That is if you are using split reins... many people use braided reins with a romel ... reins held in left hand... romel in left hand. I never liked split reins myself... always wanted something to do with my right hand.
Maybe you are going to have to settle for a snaffle bit horse.... get you a cow and do a little stock horse instead of pleasure horses:)
I modeled a macate and saddle for the old Poser horse that I still have. When the mill horse came out I modeled a nice split ear headstall with a little roller bit. I have no idea where the files are. I think I lost them when my old computer decided to take a long vacation that it has never returned from. I still get sick when I think of how much stuff I lost:(

Thread: obj exporting from c4d to poser | Forum: 3D Modeling
Thread: obj exporting from c4d to poser | Forum: 3D Modeling
If you are exporting from C4D to obj format, you really need to get Spanki's Riptide plugin. It is free at MAXON's site.... It makes exporting to Poser much easier.
C4D's obj export is at best "the sh*ts". It reverses the normals and doesn't export all the materials. It will only export the first material. Before he released this plugin the only way to get your object exported with materials was to split the model into groups for each material and when importing into Poser you need to reverse the normals. Riptide takes care of all of these problems.

Thread: first attempt at conforming clothes - is this approach likely to work? :) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
For personal use this is fine... but you also need to export the chest too.
I normally use the V3 Blank cr2 to import the bones. The joints are the same unless you changed any of the joint center, etc on your morphed V3. The rule of thumb is you need the body part above and below in the hierachy.
I woudn't delete any of the bones from the setup. That's something you can do later if you choose. I usually delete the body parts like the fingers and toes from the cr2 and hide the other body parts you do not need.,, This can be done by editing the cr2 in a text editor, but for you I'd leave everything in tact until you feel confident about editing a cr2..
In the setup room, just select the V3 Blank figure and the bones will be imported. All you will have in the setup window is the object you want to make a conformer. Make sure you still have the groups in your mesh... the collars and chest. If they aren't there you will need to use the grouping tool to create them again. If everything went right.. you exit the setup room and your clothing will now be a figure ready to conform to your morphed V3. It won't have any JCMs so you may get poke through when the arms are raised or lowered.
Hope this helps some.

Thread: Poser Fusion shipping... Opinions??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Ed, what version of the Reiss Studio plugin do you have? If you have version 2.7 of Body Studio, you can get a free update to PoserFusion.
To clear up a few questions, PoserFusion is a newer version, not just a replaced logo - for example, it supports the latest versions of the host applications. Also, regarding the inclusion of PoserFusion in Poser Pro, the PoserFusion web site says:
Quote - Note: This standalone version of PoserFusion (formerly BodyStudio) will be available for a limited time, after which this technology and the PoserFusion product will be integrated into Poser Pro. Support for this version will be limited to one year following the release date of Poser Pro.
I know everyone loves a lively discussion, but it never hurts to gather some information before drawing conclusions.
This was for 2.7.
Thread: Poser Fusion shipping... Opinions??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Reiss Studio had a promotion... get the new version of the plugin for $49... so like a dumb ass I got it... I was never able to get it to run... Error messages about some dll missing... reinstall product... same thing. so I fill out the support form on their websitet.... Never heard a word.... and still haven't except I for an email over the weekend trying to sell me the plugin again, but nothing about the one I have already purchased.
Use IPP... don't mess with this thing unless you have money to burn... an never want to get an animation rendered.
Just my $49 rant:)

Thread: Looking for Poser Rigger | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
For me, making morphs is totally the worst part of figure creation .... boring, but very much a necessity.
I rigged this in the Setup Room in about 10 minutes:)
