Just downloaded it, much easier than importing a file into an lattice which is what I've done up until now.

I like it but I'm not al that convinced by the grey (liquid?) with the words written on it, because it's pretty uniform it draws my eye to the least interesting part of the image.

Thread: Render to Disk using dual cores! | Forum: Bryce
I've got an Intel Duo Core 6400 with 2Gb or RAM which runs very quickly. I've been really impressed with the render times I've been getting (although the only thing I've got to compare it to was my old AMD 2.4GHz with 1 Gb RAM). Bryce 6 (and 6.1) definitely maxes out both cores and takes a pretty fair chunk of the RAM too.
If you have a couple of test renders (preferably something that isn't going to take toooooo long to render) drop me an email with them on it and I'll tell you how long it takes to render on my box.

Electroglyph any idea where I can get a serial number for twig? It's not included in the set up. I love grass, that's superb.

I have vauge memories of my brother running Bryce (or was it Terragen) on an old Amiga. That would have been about 15 years ago.

It also means if you need to stop a render halfway through to upgrade Bryce to version 6.1 because the baby has woken you up so many times in the middle of the night that you can't sleep any more then you can :)

No it looks like I've downloaded the 6.0 update again. It's odd it definitely says it's the 6.1 update on my download page and it shows as only having 3 tries left to download against it. Odd.
I'll try downloading it again.

Thread: Espresso Cup - WIP | Forum: Bryce
I like the look of the glass, have you seen the bodum nudes (dual wall glass espresso cups, they even keep the heat in). Just one thing to point out if you're talking espresso (rather than cappuchino) and you're looking to get it made, make sure that bottom is rounded and there are no corners around the bottom of the cup. The curved bottom of the cup helps with crema production, if you've got a flat bottom and a corner where it joins the sides then you'll disipate crema as the shot pulls. For example...
Got to say one of those, with a the glass insert and a good tiger striped shot on it would look superb. I'm thinking...
Or one of the large ones with good latte art on the top like...
Anyway I digress.
I like the look of the cup.

Just out of interest are there any advantages to rendering to disk rather than rendering to screen?
