Thorgrim - Surely CP takes PayPal payments, yes? If not, and you have an account, just send your $1.99 payment to me with CP SS3 $1.99 Sale in the notes section of your order, and e-mail your P6 SN to me at pam@poserworks.com I'll send you the link to download the SS3. I can't imagine CP not taking PayPal, but I could be wrong (it has happened before. :/)
Tyger Purr - I've got something for you... Check your e-mail this afternoon. :)pg

Thread: ANY 3 POSERWORKS MODELS FOR $15- (PP3 SALE) | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
Sorry about the dup image.
Thanks Xenophonz. And just so all you carousel fans know, the lights are painted on just as Carolly said for the sake of the poly count. It would have gone to a bazillion had we not. Now the Ferris Wheel lights are the real deal, however, we had to increase the size of each bulb in order to reduce the number of bulbs to where still looked good. Bulbs are what? Round!
The first time I saw Tom's interior design of our 80 foot Yacht I wondered, "What are you thinking?!" All the walls are curved and rounded off rounded off with no hard edges anywhere. If its a hard edge, it gets beveled. He makes a lot more work for himself, but when he has an idea of what he wants, by God thats the way hes going to make it. (Proves that his Imagination Works! LOL! ; ) But this is why some of our models come out so nicely. He doesnt like to sacrifice what he wants for the sake of making it easier. Tycho would be a good example. OMG! EVERYTHING... Round! (But God love him for it.) Every once in awhile he has to make a compromise for the sake of the end user relative to load time. But man-o-man does is take a lot of work getting everything smooth vs. polygonal looking. And I'm always the first one to point it out a poly sighting to him. I'm sure some days hed love to just shoot me But ITS MY JOB! (Holding the self-appointed Art Critic position LOL! ;) pg

Casette,
"CASETTELABIANT, his skin supports space, zero gravity and FURIOUS ALIEN HAMSTERS' ATTACKS!" LOL! You aint right, Mistah! (Thats Mister in a Jersey accent. ;)
Regarding Tycho: We created special camera for Tycho interior shots and there is a separate readme.txt file with the operating instructions for this camera. And please know that Tycho is also modular (hence the 1-5 modules) so you can, or only have to load one level of any one module at a time. The camera we provide should allow you to get just about any shot you want since you can move it around. For tighter interior shots, well...you can handle those on your own without any instruction from me. There is also an aerial camera 550' above ground that can be used in any of the modules. So we really did try to cover all angles (no pun intended. ;) I asked Tom if he might think about building sci-fi models on a little smaller scale. But apparently I work for a man who likes to think big. Every time he says "Pam, I've got a surprise for you." Right off the bat I'm thinking :OHHHNOOOO, and am tempted to respond with, "How big is it? (SIGH : /)" OKAY, Minds out of the gutter YOU!... I'm talking about 3D models here! He's JUST my BOSS, okay? LOL! pg

Pam-again. (Sounds Irish, doesn't it? How appropriate) I've addressed several of the posts on this thread in this BIG LOOOONG one. Ready?StevenT!!!
How astute you are to have noticed. We STILL LOVE your Hells Kitchen render.... Arent you chomping at the bit to do some more renders for us? ; ) And just where have you been, Mister?! Youre in No CA now huh? I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering if we'd EVER hear from you again. Tom just moved... guess where? Downstairs into my duplex in Hermosa Beach! It's very convenient to get to work now! LOL!
Casette,
Michael is floating in space with no spacesuit! You wanted him dead, or what?
Nalif,
"The Phaeton personal starship just put into the marketplace fits the bay section of the Magellan without scaling..."
How cool is that... at only $1.99 for the price of admission. (Nyuk Nyuk) That works out well, and when we weren't even trying! LOL!
Antonia Tiger,
"And it looks more like a housing project than a spaceship from that angle."
LOL! IT IS a Housing Project... it's the habitat for the Crew, (Remember, it's a cargo ship! ;)
"The only payment option appears to be credit card. The Wishlist is useless. Don't bother trying to use it, there seems to be no way of getting to it other than by adding an item."
They're working out all of the kinks at CP right now. The reason we only have one product up now is because they have an enormous amount of data to publish and a lot of other things on their plate at the moment. In due time, all will be ironed out and I'm sure you will find this to be a stellar venue for Poser related content and complimentary software products and tutorials. They can probably better serve us if we all just exercise a little patience with this endeavor... since it's a biggy. Personally, I'm just glad to see they have gotten back up in the saddle and are doing WELL! They worked awfully hard for years to bring us this great program called Poser, (let us not forget who invented and wrote this program we've all grown so fond of) and many wonderful 3d products at more than reasonable prices. I'm sure your input is of value to them, as is everyone who takes the time to suggest improvements. If enough people have the same complaints... suggestion (?), they will probably take heed.
Pam, that first paragraph in the description appeared in purple, against a black background, when I tried to read it on the CP site. This is not a very readable combination.
Its fuchsia but on that dark brown background probably looks purple. I thought it stood out nicely compared to other colors I tried, but I did bold the text and makeit one size larger. Please check it out and let me know if you can see it better now. Tx! (See, we listen... so before you aim, know that we all aim to please. After all, Were all just Bozos on this bus! ;)
RHaseltine,
Thank you so much for giving all who use Daz Studio a heads up on this. Im at a loss when it comes to how our models work with/in Daz Studio since we have never used it. We build all of our models for Poser, so we know they work there just fine. ; )
Stallion,
Shame I already own the SS3
Bless your heart. Weve got other things on the agenda for the not so distant future, so just stay tuned. CP sends newsletters out frequently, so you will know about them as they arise.
Thanks one and all for your kind words and suggestions for CP.
Should this thread have been posed on the PSF? Are we in trouble? Guess we'd know by now, or will soon enough, huh?
XO!
Pam
Thread: A very stupid (really) question: how to conform props.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
kyraia, this is why we make ALL of our models figures (that would normally be classified or called props by most people). But if an object has ANY moving part(s), it needs to be created/archived as figure. We even make our models that have NO movable parts as "figures"... Habit. ;) pam at poserworks
Thread: The SS3 Magellan spacecraft for $1.99 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi Guys!
Wowsers!
Pam at PoserWorks here. Thanks for the heads up my Ray O'..., And J.Semp, THANK YOU for your undying loyalty and ever-faithful support. As always, we so much appreciate your more than favorable input in support of our product(s). Bless you.
I was on this forum last evening and THOUGHT I HAD responded to this thread. But low and behold, when I came back to check the thread this morning, I found my post never "posted". I fear that I either "timed out", or was too quick to escape out of the Renderosity forum/site before seeing my response actually "POST". Oh well, it isn't the first time this has happened to me. : /
On to the business at hand regarding the SS3:
First off, this model has been on the market for THREE years now, reminding me once again how quickly time flies and how old I'm getting! : O Ohhh Nooooo! But the reason for this incredible deal is not an "arbitrary" pricing structure on the part of PoserWorks, but rather a promotion stemming from an agreement made between Curious Labs and Poserworks to announce and promote our partnering with Content Paradise.
The first paragraph under the SS3 Description on CP states (and I have copied and pasted the direct text below):
"This model is available to all Poser 6 owners for $1.99 now through June 15th, 2005. You will be required to enter your P6 Serial Number at checkout, unless you have already entered it into your personal profile on Content Paradise."
I had planned all along to send a newsletter out to all of our loyal and devoted PoserWorks members, however, I chose to wait until all of the kinks had been ironed out with regard to our database on CP--BEFORE doing so! I imagine it will go out on Wednesday. It will also include a VERY special offer for OUR members that will be available on the PoserWorks site ONLY.
As far as missing textures for the SS3 in Poser 6, I found no problem other than the existence of pz3 file(s) for Amy. Unless you have Amy, these file are unnecessary. They were only included as a convenience to those who have this model. Now this part is MY fault! I had requested that Tom clean out any unnecessary pz3 files and re-archive the SS3 to avoid any confusion and/or eliminate inquiries about this in the future. He did so, but I inadvertently put the old file up on Content Paradise. So for those who have downloaded this file, I suggest you simply delete any Pz3 file(s) that are not required for the SS3 to load. This will avoid getting any pop-up dialogue boxes in the future. I did not find that the SS3 had any MISSING textures in P6, P5, or P4. If you are having this problem, I suggest that you double check your files and/or follow the loading instructions in the readme text file. But all of our models are archived to unzip automatically into the structure/folders Poser uses. We do recommend that you load our models from the project folder/file rather than the rollout, because it is all set up for you that way (scaled/sized, etc.) That being said, perhaps the person(s) having problems may have unzipped the model incorrectly. If not, the only other thing I can think of is if you are loading this model on a Mac. Our models are NOT Mac-ready. They will work on a Mac, but you need to do some "juggling" to put the files in the right places. Painful I know, but one day we'll have all of our data available to support both Win and Mac platforms. (Although it does state Win right on the SS3 page at Content Paradise.)
Hope this answers your questions. We didnt think a really great sales promotion would put us in a quandary, so hopefully this clears up any and all questions regarding this limited promotion. We have others coming up in the future.... Perhaps not THIS BIG, but pretty darned good! I will advise all PoserWorks members of them in advance in the future... once we have our database in place and stabilized on CP.
I'm getting really tired of typing in that serial number. :-P
It IS such an exhaustingly painful ordeal, isnt it? (LOL! ;) Im teasing you... Can you tell?) XENOPHONZ is right! And in case any of you missed the extent of the paragraph I pasted in above, (that I copied directly from our CP SS3 Page) you only have to type in your P6 SN IF YOU HAVENT YET entered it into your profile on Content Paradise. I believe that if you typed it in for a similar promotion it is also automatically and permanently entered into the CP database as well, but dont quote me on that. I will check and get back to you on that one. But this might explain why some of you were not asked for a SN in order to download. Your SN had already (previously) been entered and authenticated. For those of you who DID NOT PURCHASE P6 SN and were able to download anyway, you need to let me know.... PLEASE? ; )
(Drunk Monkey. I mention you only because your username cracks me up. Yours, What the, and fishnose I think are my top 3 favs.
Im going away now.
Cheers!
Pam
