Thread: Introducing: Nuutti Motion Import/Export system for 3D programs | Forum: Bryce
I planned to add Poser compatibility. Unfortunately Posers cameras work differently from other 3D packages which make the translation hard. The walk paths and camera are also limited also in such a way that getting a match is difficult. Any way when Poser 5 comes I'll have another go. Currently Nuutti's menu have an option for Poser but it's disabled.

Here's a link to "Susanna: Poser Animations to Bryce". www.datamike.com/susu.htm In addition to importing Poser animations to Bryce Susanna has a number of other features: - motion blur - import Bryce & Poser animation to Digital home Video - AVI-BMP file sequences to Bryce (movie screens) - AVI-BMP file sequences as materialsThread: Only one volumetric light per scene? | Forum: Bryce
I've seen the same problem happen. I don't think it's "only-one-volume-light-per-scene" -problem. Rather it's a shadow problem from an omni light. Here's how to replicate the bug: 1) create a box (or any object with some size) 2) place an omni light next to the box 3) place a volumetric light on the opposite side of the box What happens is that the omni light casts a shadow. If that shadow hits the volumetric light beam that part of the beam it is cut away. Actually you can create some strange effects using this bu ... er ... feature. Bryce does have a problem with volumeobjects, be it lights, objects and even meatballs when one object affects another.

Press ctrl+shift+Alt and the "- Bryce remove keyframe" button. Bryce will then say "What are you up to?". Then press OK and low-and-behold all keyframes have gone the way of dodo.

Select terrain, lattice, rock or a mesh object you have in your scene. Then press the "E". You should now have a smooth/unsmooth dialog. There press Ctrl+D and you'll get an export dialog.

kieraw: If you are exporting posers as 2d faces to Bryce you can have them animated using my Bryce add-on: "Susanna Poser to Bryce 4/5". Susanna had previously this feature but it has now been expanded to have the AVI/BMP sequence played on as material (not just animated 2d face). Check out the anims "Movie time" and "Blob" at www.datamike.com/susu.htm [end of blatant commercial].Thread: Need help for animated Poser in Bryce | Forum: Bryce

I wrote Susanna. As much as I'd like to port it to Mac there just is no time & resources. Currently I'm working on several new features (teaser: having seen "Lord of the Rings" I said to myself: "I just gotta have some of those effects in Susanna") plus a new add-on based on Susanna core. A few years back I maintained some DOS & Windows progs and that was quite a workload and Mac is a different animal alltogether!Thread: Realstic Materials? (Free) | Forum: Bryce

You can import animation to Bryce 4 or 5 using my Susanna Bryce add-on ($49.95) It's called: "Susanna: Poser Animations to Bryce 4 and 5" Link: www.datamike.com/susu.htm Main features: - Poser animations to Bryce 4 or 5 - Movies in Bryce, not just static bitmaps (import AVIs to Bryce) - Motion Blur in Bryce - misc F/XThread: Volume Collision Problems | Forum: Bryce
You are not doing anything wrong. It's a bug in Bryce rendering engine. Unfortunately there are no real workarounds other than postwork fixes. Same problem exists in other "volume"-something features (volume light hits a volume object).
