 I think i followed the default choices whilst installing Poser 8 but there where these options concerning using the folder my documents and i always made the choice for my documents. I did install SR3.
The tooltip? Is not enabled  because i do not see the whereabouts when hovering over my library items! How do i enable the tooltip?

I did that search and indeed it would be a lot better to have Poser under  C and not in the program files.Â
Can i just move the Smith Micro folder or the Poser 8 folder to C: backslash or do i have to uninstall Poser 8 an do a fresh install?

Thanks for the replies. Tried the zone alarm blocking. Blocking,allowing whatever it does not work. But it is clear that it has something to do with poser trying to acces the internet at startup. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the many replies. Carrara 3.0 seems to have a good rendering engine. Is transposer quick, apparantly when you change something in poser 5 the change is automatically adapted in carrara. Is this a slow proces or is it quick, does it thake more than 60 seconds? Is the rendering a lot better than the vue rendering; objects always seem to be not in touch with the groundplane in vue. And finally if carrara is not so good for modelling what would you advice me as a good modeller that can work easily with poser. Thanks you all.

ah one other question. Does vue support bumpmaps as in the material room of poser 5. And oif not is there another approach? Is vue profesional better for this?

So, If understand correctly you can run poser and vue prof at the same time and work on the same poserfile. When the poses in the poser application are changed they get changed in vue in the same time. Is this correct?
