Hi there, I am the avatar is for a website? Would you need the animations in Flash format, or any kind of special format? Things like frame size and framerate would be useful for people to decide if $100 for 10 seconds sounds reasonable.

I was able to install it with no problem on Windows Vista. I don't know what might be causing the problem.

Thread: Adding sound | Forum: Animation
Hi there, you can find royalty free sound clips at flashkit.com
There are other places like it but I don't know them. As for adding the sound to your movie, you could use something like virtualdub, or even Live Movie Maker.

Thread: Showing an animation? | Forum: Animation
You can't upload animations directly to the servers. You would need to use vimeo, youtube or something similar and then link it here.

Thread: Stop motion animation | Forum: Animation
I've done it using my webcam and a piece of software. I remember there was some free app, I also tried stop motion pro, and dragon stop motion I think.

Thread: Can Quick time animations / Poser figures be loaded on to Renderosity? | Forum: Animation
Right now we have an animation gallery as part of the freestuff. This means you have to host your animations somewhere and hotlink them here. Not sure if/when we will have a dedicated animation gallery.

Thread: animating trees in Bryce? | Forum: Animation
I am not familiar with Bryce (last version I used was Bryce 3D from 12 years ago). Does Bryce have deformers like a lattice (AKA free form deformer)? You can do something as simple as applying a lattice deformer to the tree.

Thread: Where do I get a good codec? | Forum: Animation
Quote - The thing is I told DAZStudio to use uncompressed video, but Windows media player will not play it on both my machines.
Thanks everyone. I will try all your advice.
Most of the time uncompressed video will have a way too high bitrate for realtime playback. Editing software will have no problem dealing with it, though.

Thread: Where do I get a good codec? | Forum: Animation
Hi there!
Codecs for web deploment are one thing, and maybe DivX is still the way to go (although you can also use flash video). Personally I haven't used it for some time as I preffer the standard WMV for compatibility purposes (mostly because I don't want to tell ppl to download some codec or VLC player to playback whatever I send them).
For working, I'd definitely recommend against it. For editing I use uncompressed AVI files, but they can be pretty big. If you're willing to shell out like 99 bucks or something like that, you can check the Cineform codec. That one simply rocks, outstanding image quality without the premium file size.

Thread: Interactive Flash File | Forum: Animation
I remember a vendor here at Renderosity uses a javascript or something that does the same. No flash needed.
Can't remember who that is, though.

Thread: New Capture software $900+ iPi Desktop Motion Capture Standard Edition | Forum: Animation
Don't know if it's being used by studios, but they were showing it at SIGGRAPH last month and it seems to do the work just fine.
There are a few videos on the website, actually. Don't know if you've looked for them enough. There's also a demo version around here you can play with before you buy (it's on the free stuff section, in the animation category, unless they've changed it).

I don't really know about Premiere Elements as I've never used it (and I don't even know how it looks like nor how it works).
There's a free (I think?) open source video editor called Cinelerra. You may wanna look for that one. I've never used it either, though but at least it's free.
